There are tons of hikes in the area that have great views! Indian creek trailhead (3 of them) 8th street seems easiest, but is longest this is said to have more flowers Hood River Penstock flume popeline trailhead- closest? 2nd shortest route, by a river Dog River Trailhead- more of an upward hike, harder Mosier Creek Falls- farthest, has a swimming hole, 1 mi round trip

Portland Timbers games are a ton of fun and have an electric atmosphere if anyone is arriving a few days early. They have a game on Wednesday May 13th where they take on CF Montreal at 7:30 PM.

Panorama Point offers a quick scenic view of Mt Hood and the area with no hiking needed.

While mid may is not an ideal time for fruit picking, there are many orchards around hood river that will still offer scenic views, flower blossoms, and farm stands.
