Amanda and Jason met on a warm New Years Eve in San Diego in 2013. A friendly (maybe not so friendly) conversation about college basketball started, and once Jason realized Amanda was from Kentucky, well, it was down hill from there. But, they kissed at midnight anyway. It was not long after New Years Eve that Jason and Amanda went on their first date to the Triple Crown Pub, a tasteful, yet dingy hole in the wall with ping pong tables, which they both unknowingly frequented often. From there, they fell in love, and the rest is history.

Jason had an elaborate plan to propose to Amanda at the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Asheville, NC. After realizing his proposal would be in front of a large group of strangers, he changed his mind, and instead proposed in their apartment (it was still awesome). After the proposal, they celebrated their engagement at the Sierra Nevada Brewery! Even though Jason canceled his plans to propose at the brewery, he and Amanda were still rewarded with a giant bottle of Celebration Ale!
