We met at just 14 years old at an ultimate frisbee practice. Ryan’s dad, Pete, had paired the two of us up so that Amanda could learn how to throw a frisbee. It took two years of playing on the team together, sitting together at school lunches, and hanging out with our group of high schools friends before we finally started dating right at the beginning of junior year of high school. We were together for our junior and senior year, and went on to stay together even as Ryan went off to college at Ohio State University, while Amanda stayed home in Cincinnati. We were together through all of college, and when it was time for Ryan to graduate he was offered a position at Epic in Madison Wisconsin. We decided to move to Madison together and have loved every second of our life here. We adopted our dog Poppy together, and officially became “dog” parents. Ryan proposed on a trip to NYC for Amanda’s birthday, and it was the BEST gift. We recently bought a house in Madison and are so excited for our future together.
