Our Wedding

Logan, UT leaves much to be desired in terms of dating. So when Amanda moved there she quickly realized she was not going to be dating for the next five years. Near the end of the first semester of grad school she was relaying this somber assessment to another classmate, who took pity on her. Melanie decided to set her up with one of her husband's friends. 

After passing the "coffee test" (Dec 2014), Dylan decided Amanda was sane enough to go hiking with. Amanda's life coach, Jasmine 🐶, tagged along to appraise her suitor. That cold trek to the Wind Caves would be the first of a lifetime of adventures, each one more fun than the last. 

Despite the soul crushing demands of grad school, this partnership flourished. Together Amanda and Dylan learned how to snowboard and rock climb, took up backpacking and camping, and even visited 20+ national parks and went ice climbing on a glacier in Alaska. Dylan even learned how to cook more than Eggos and "Sriracha noodles". 

It has been an exciting and wonderful ride. Successful relationships bring out the best in both partners, and when you find that person there is much to rejoice in. Thank you for celebrating our love with us!

Chris and Dylan have been friends&nbsp;since middle school, where 
they&nbsp;bonded over Starcraft instead of learning Spanish. This was very fortunate as many years later Chris and his 
wonderful wife Melanie introduced Dylan to Amanda, whom Dylan greatly prefers over having a 7th grade education in Spanish. Chris has been an incredible friend for many years.

Houston and Dylan have been friends ever since successfully rigging World of Warcraft's first fishing contest in 2005.&nbsp; They've shared endless hours of laughter, support, and even the same career path.&nbsp; Dylan is incredibly privileged to have Houston as a friend.

Booking instructions: Call Alta Lodge directly at 800-707-2582 to book a room in our reserved wedding block. This option is not available on the website. When you call Alta, mention the Blume-Riddle wedding. In keeping with their traditional lodge atmosphere, there are no televisions in guest rooms. There is free WIFI available for streaming. The lodge also has hot tubs and a sun deck overlooking the mountains!We'll be at 8,000+ feet in elevation. Bring a jacket and be ready for the altitude!Parking and navigation: You can park anywhere for free on the road above the lodge. You will need to walk down multiple stairs to the main lobby. If you'd rather not take the stairs, you can use the red courtesy phone at the top of the stairs to request a shuttle pick up that will take you to the lobby.

This shuttle will get you from the airport to Snowbird or Alta Lodge.

Alta will have a shuttle to Snowbird that you can take if you are staying there.&nbsp;

Snowbird Ski Resort is slightly down the road from Alta, and if you are looking for a hotel that has a few more accommodations, we recommend the Cliff Lodge. There are loads of activities at Snowbird for families as well.

There is plenty of hiking at Alta, and some breathtaking views!

 You'll be at about 8,500-9,000 feet in elevation, bring lots of water 
and take your time if you're not acclimated to the elevation.
