Amanda was working as a nurse on the Cardiac step-down unit while Adam was completing his pharmacy residency at the same hospital. Amanda noticed Adam working (more like struggling) on her unit one day and started to ask around. Then one day, Amanda ran out of insulin on her unit and instead of following typical procedures, she reached out to Adam directly in order to get the insulin refilled. Adam went out of his way to ensure the insulin was refilled as soon as possible. He even meandered over to her unit to check on the status of the insulin, but more importantly, talk to Amanda in the med room. After that, Adam attempted to ask her out in person, but couldn't find her on that unit anymore, so he did what any man would do and slid in her DMs. Soon after, they went on their first date, fell in love, and the rest is history.
