The summer of 2019 was coming to an end when we planned a simple dinner together. Mike, of course, spilled some sauce on his shirt, which would frequently occur in the future. At the end of the night, we both said our goodbyes, and agreed to see each other again sometime soon. We both walked away smiling, knowing that something felt right.

After a few months of talking and spending time together, Mike worked up the courage to ask Amanda to be his girlfriend. We had no clue that in a few years we would plan to spend the rest of our lives together. Mike helped Amanda survive her senior year of college, making books and games for her students that she taught.

Suddenly, in the beginning of 2020, the world shut down. However, Amanda and Mike just grew closer, as they spent a lot of time together with little things to do. This allowed them to see that they were really meant for each other. As time went on, both Amanda and Mike started new jobs and helped each other adjust. Mike was a trooper and helped Amanda organize and create her first classroom. He quickly learned how much her students meant to her and, on December 16th, 2022, showed up to her classroom with a ring. It was the easiest “yes” of Amanda’s life. On July 12th, 2024, Amanda and Mike will both say “yes” to forever.
