The first time I saw Charlie I was sitting in the window seat of my apartment in Mobile, AL, and as I got up I noticed a glaringly white coat across the road. The man in the white coat looked familiar as he turned his head and I reached to text Charlie, "where are you right now?".

Charlie and I first started talking on a dating app called Hinge about a week prior but I was taking things slow and weary of meeting a stranger in person without having gotten to know them a bit first (I watch too much Dateline). We hadn't yet met in person and he didn't know where I lived. So when I thought I saw him outside my apartment that day, I was pretty surprised!

As it turned out, Charlie was popping by to take his friend's dog out for a walk while they were out of town before his shift started and his friend happened to be the neighbor across from me. He had to get to work but we agreed to meet up in person that afternoon. I still like to joke with him that he's my favorite stalker!
