Amanda and Nick met while on a cruise to Canada in 2010. Amanda's best friend, Nicole, took her on the cruise with Nicole's extended family. Little did she know that her mutual family with Nick would bring the two of them together. Nick caught Amanda's eye and throughout the week long cruise to Canada, they got to know each other and their love story set sail. Thanks Nicole!

Amanda and Nick continued to see each other for the months following the cruise although they had no official title. One fall evening, Amanda went to Nick's Aunt Sally's house for dinner and Nick's dad, Anthony, introduced her as "Nick's girlfriend" to everyone there. Later that night, Nick officially asked Amanda to be his girlfriend.

Amanda took Nick to her Plainedge High School senior prom in 2011. After multiple attempts Nick agreed to attend, although he was the oldest date at the party!

Amanda went off to attend Iona College as Nick was graduating from Western Connecticut State University. They had a few years of long distance and weeks between visits but remained strong. They got to know and love each others roommates, friends, family and all the activities they shared together.

Throughout the years, they have traveled with each other and with loved ones. Trips around the United States, including New Orleans, Colorado, Vermont, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Maryland. They have also ventured to Canada, Punta Cana, Jamaica, Aruba, Bahamas and of course, their favorite place...Montauk, NY.

The couple lived with their families while Nick worked at his accounting career and Amanda pursued her Master's Degree. They knew they were one step closer to building a life together.

The couple found their first apartment together in Long Beach, NY. Monroe Blvd has become their home and has had their heart for the past 4 years and counting.

Although they live on a beach, they find themselves on Montauk beach at least 2-3 times a year. Growing up, Amanda's family along with the Rizzo Family grew up spending Memorial Day Weekends and many summer days cooking homemade meals together, swimming and creating cherished memories at the end of the world.

These two LOVE John Mayer. They’ve been to many concerts over the years. He’s so special to them that his version of “Free Fallin' ” was playing while Nick proposed to Amanda.

Another milestone came just in time for the New Year when a Chrystal-eyed Aussiedoodle found her way into their souls. Amanda and Nick rescued Prancer and their heart doubled in size as they took their perfect pup home.

And almost 13 years after their love story began, Nick proposed on his birthday to Amanda at the Abbey Inn in Peekskill, NY. After a couples massage that Nick did not actually partake in, he set up a private room and told her he wanted forever. Surprised but thrilled, Amanda said "Yes"!

The couple is thrilled to share this milestone with their closest friends and family in their favorite place. They are so grateful for all the support of their families throughout their many years together. They have seen each other through over a decade of life's changes and have remained constant.
