Chris & I are a dating app success story. We actually first matched in 2022 when unknowingly we were living in different cities, him in Charlotte, while I was in Winston. He asked me to get coffee, but once we realized we didn't live in the same city he kindly turned me down. A year later he came crawling back (he may say differently), but we reconnected and realized (thankfully!!) we both now lived in Winston. We decided to try again and grab a cup of coffee. On a momentous morning in February 2023 we grabbed coffee at Anchor Coffee in Winston. He introduced me to his favorite latte in the city and the rest is history. But truthfully it was a great first date, I realized quickly he was clever, engaging, mostly funny ;), and had a big heart for the Lord. We went on a date the next weekend and I knew I definitely wanted to date him. Over the next few weeks and months we continued to spend time together, go on dates, have the awkward I like you do you like me conversations, and eventually settled into something very sweet. One Sunday evening in July he told me he loved me in a restaurant full of people. We've been dreamin and schemin since. After much patience on my end (maybe less than I think) he asked me to marry him on December 16th 2023. Obviously I said yes. We are excited for the coming months and look forward to celebrating the beginning of our marriage with all the people we love most!
