It all starts in February of 2020 when I started working a factory that Cory also worked at. We worked in the same department, but I was on the other side and one night I asked to be moved because the area they had me wasn't working out (gave me hand cramps real bad). My shift lead at the time moved me over to Cory's area and I thought he was cute. I just recently became single and I was no where ready to be in another relationship so I was just wanting a friend and Cory said a few words here and there but wasn't really up for talking. (I find out later he was in a relationship with his baby mama at the time and didn't talk to any women in respect to her, understandable!) Well, I ended up quitting a couple days later due to irl issues and we lost contact. Fast forward a year later and I'm working there again but in a completely different department. We never spoke to each other but we always made glances at each other and I caught him staring at me a few times. (I didn't think anything of it since I was in that relationship I just got out of before, not long after starting there I became single for good hint hint.) Well I ended up quitting again due to my nephew and I getting sick on and off with covid (and this chick there having it and infecting everyone tehehe) and lost contact with him yet again! Well about 3 months later, I'm casually checking my Facebook Dating profile and there he is in my matches! I almost didn't recognize him but it then hit me, I had to match him back right?! I instantly message him asking if he worked at said factory and he almost instantly replied and it sure was him. We talked every waking moment for about a week before I ended up ghosting him. (Not intentionally! the relationship I was on and off in for over 2 years really messed me up and I was terrified but I really liked this dude and ngl, was starting to fall for him.) Well two weeks pass, and a friend of my nephew's asked if I would go on this road trip with him to go profess his undying love to this girl he wanted to be with. While on this trip, we pass the exit to the town Cory lived in and it hit me all at once, I had made a huge mistake. So I message him and basically tell him I wanted to try again and apologized for the ghosting and told him I was terrified but I wanted whatever we had. I felt that connection and spark ever since we worked together but didn't quite know what it was until that moment. Well, we talked for a week, even video chatted every night after he got home from work. The next week he drove an hour and a half to take me out on our first date and it was perfect. Every weekend after that, he came down to take me out on a date. It didn't take long for him to ask me to officially be his. Not even a week after being his officially, I was getting kicked out from the place I was living at (While I was at his place, I might add!) We had this talk before we officially got together that it might happen and he said if it did, he would take me in, basically rescuing me! Well no hesitations, he drove me to get my stuff and I never turned back. it's been a wild, fun and happy 4 and a half years with the love of my life and I cannot wait for June 6th, 2026 to come.
