On April 22, 2022 Sam arranged for the couple to go to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens under the guise of seeing some of the new exhibits and taking some photos together. They spent a couple hours enjoying the gardens and taking pictures while Sam secretly looked for the best spot to ask the question. Sam decide on a quiet corner of the property (Glade Garden) in front of the water feature, surrounded by white, pink, and orange flowers just beginning to come into bloom. After some initial panic over the lack of a tripod or a surface to prop up the phone with a kind older woman offered to take photos for the couple and Sam saw his chance! He quickly and quietly asked the woman to simply, “please take a video, I’m going to propose to her.” And of course, as you all know, Amanda said yes!
