Dave’s story- the short and sweet version. I saw Amanda at many cross country and track and field events as she was coaching for another school that we crossed paths with often. I had my eye on her for over a year before even speaking a word to her. I ran the courses following her trying to keep up, one eye on my athletes running while the other was on her tush. After an introduction at a post meet get together, I was coached to get Facebook and yup, slide all up in her DM’s! The rest is history, I don’t sound creepy at all hahaha!
Amanda's short version- Who was this mysterious bald (excuse me, I've been corrected many times, shaved) man that appeared in her DM's? Are those his kids? Wait how old is he? ...Then after a VERY spaced out few first dates, it was obvious how patient and determined Dave was to pursue the real deal kind of relationship.
The truly romantic things in life are those little things you do every day to show you care and that you’re thinking of them. It’s going out of your way to make them happy. The random text in the middle of the day, just to say “I love you” or “I miss you”. The way he stops to kiss you when he passes by. It’s letting her eat your fries… and telling her she’s beautiful. It’s putting your favorite show on pause so she can tell you about her day, and laughing at his joke even the really lame ones. It’s dancing in the kitchen, playing with the dog, and all those little moments. Dave is those things for me.
