In April 2018, Sean and Amanda met at a baseball game in Midland, Texas. The instant connection was felt, and sparks flew as they talked about their relationship with the sport. Amanda and Sean both grew up competing in softball and baseball, so it was naturally fitting that they instantly knew they wanted to see each other again to continue the conversation. After weeks of talking and texting, they finally had their first date at a Whataburger in Midland. Since then, their connection has grown beyond the playing field and begun to strengthen in their hearts.
Through the thick of the pandemic, Sean and Amanda decided it was time to make a more permanent move to being able to talk baseball with one another regularly and in person. In 2021, Amanda moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico (along with Cali Bear and Pabst), and their love story continued to bloom. Having two furbabies, they decided to add one of their own. Quigley, the crazy mini-Aussie, joined, and the two hooman’s and three furbabies now have a loving home to call all their own.
On February 13th, 2023, Sean got down on one knee in their home and asked Amanda to marry him. The proposal was perfect. Sean nervously walked around their living room, pacing for about 45 minutes, while Amanda lay on the couch with a sinus infection. It was time for Amanda to get things ready for the next day at school when Sean then dropped to one knee, opened up the ring box, and said, “Will you marry me?!” Amanda (in sweats and stuffy-nosed) cried and screamed, “YES!” Asking a few times if this was a joke. Naturally, Sean laughed, called her a dork, and grinned from ear to ear.
In June 2024, we ask you to attend our wedding and celebrate our love for one another. We are SO VERY EXCITED for you to be a part of our special day, and we would not have it any other way.
