Transportation from Airport to Your Stay

Have $75-90 USD CASH or Bermudan Dollar CASH (the currencies are equal in exchange) available for transport from the airport to Cambridge Beaches Resort (or other).

I recommend bringing USD cash, or a debit card to pull cash from the Bermudan ATMs (this will save you from paying large credit card fees).

Cambridge Resort will reach out 1-2 weeks prior to arrange your airport taxi transportations.

Most taxi drivers only take cash, so be prepared for this.

Taxi fees are independent of the number of people in your taxi, so pile in and split!

$USD = $Bermudan Dollar Currency

Please let us know your flight arrival times.

Hitch App

Picture of Hitch App

The Hitch app is Bermuda’s version of Uber. Use this app to call taxis, this is especially important if you are not staying at Cambridge Beaches Resort.

For those staying at the resort: Cambridge front desk is able to arrange taxis for you, and will arrange your airport pickup. If you venture out, you may need to use the hitch app to get back to the resort.

Really, the Resort has it all: beaches (both bay and Atlantic), pool, hot tub, water sports, spa, boating, scooters, restaurants, & bars.

No need to leave once you arrive unless you have the itch to explore.

Cambridge Beaches was established nearly a century ago as Bermuda’s first cottage-style accommodations. The expansive property is situated on a narrow and private peninsula surrounded by glittering ocean and bay waters; the peninsula itself has been a vacation destination – a place to experience elemental luxuries of white sands, salt air, and world-renowned sunsets – since 1923. Throughout the estate, architectural details date back to 1663.

Today, the 23-acre property includes more than eighty spacious and beautifully-appointed suites, each with private outdoor space and waterfront views. Four private beaches and two private coves were meant for discovery and exploration, while an infinity-edge swimming pool overlooks Mangrove Bay.

The Town of St George, founded in 1612, is an outstanding example of the earliest English urban settlement in the New World. Its associated fortifications graphically illustrate the development of English military engineering from the 17th to the 20th century, being adapted to take account of the development of artillery over this period.

Transportation - Taxi

Traveling by taxi is the most convenient way to get around the island. All taxis are government mandated with fixed fee calculations.

All the places you go: airport, hotels, restaurants, etc. will help to call taxis for you.

You can have your hotel arrange a taxi airport pickup for you.

Taxi is the most expensive way to get around the island, you can also consider shuttle buses, scooters, or twizzy electric vehicle rentals.

A taxi ride from the airport to the resort is about $70 USD or Bermudan Dollars, paid in cash (this is longest possible trip across the island!)

Taxi fees are independent of the number of people in your taxi, so pile in and split!
