Hyatt Place Madison / Verona

It is important to us that all our guests have a safe commute to and from our venue! The Eloise is located in a beautiful area of Wisconsin's countryside, and with that comes curvy roads. As we have alcohol at our wedding and plan on having a good time, we are paying for you to get back to the hotel in one piece. We plan to have two 54-passenger school buses available to our guests and scheduled to transport you to and from the hotel. These will shuttle guests at specific times on the big day, so if you are planning on utilizing this service, please plan accordingly. Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area and parking is available at the venue if you choose to drive yourself! Shuttle Schedule:2:30 PM - Buses are scheduled to pick guests up before the wedding at the Hyatt Place hotel (846 Liberty Dr. Verona, WI) 9:30 PM - If you'd like to head to bed a bit early, this is the bus you should catch, as the next will be at the end of the night! 11:30 PM - Last buses of the night! Get your butt on it or pay for your ride home :)

Fun fact: We highly recommend hiking to the Devil's Doorway and taking your pups to the dog-specific beach area!Caution: Hikes here can get steep quickly and can become SUPER long if you take any wrong turns (speaking from experience)!

Lake Mendota, Monona, Waubesa, or Kegonsa!These beautiful lakes are great for kayaking, paddle boarding, or boating! Rentals for lake adventures can be found here: https://www.madisonboats.com/

Governor Dodge State Park4175 WI-23, Dodgeville, WI 53533https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/govdodge We LOVE camping in Governor Dodge, and Connor even enjoyed camping with his family here while growing up! Fun fact: Site 272 is the best walk-in and has the best views!Caution: the raccoons in this park are VERY brave!

Our Wedding is on Friday, so that means you can enjoy the fabulous Madison Farmer's Market at the Capitol on Saturday morning (if you're not too hungover)! Here's how we suggest you approach this iconic event if you go: 1. Start at the corner where they are selling Stella's Spicy Cheesy Bread (you'll wait for a bit in line, but it's worth it). 2. Grab a fresh loaf, and then enjoy eating bites of the cheesy goodness as you walk past the other vendors! 3. Enjoy the fresh produce, pastries, squeaky cheese curds, and flowers as you go, but do not forget that Madison's fantastic food trucks will be waiting for you! Our favorite food truck is Caracas Empanadas, and remember to fill up on all the sauces to pour on top of whatever flavor empanada you get! 4. Grabbing coffee or tea at Collectivo or Wonderstate is an additional bonus if you can manage it! Good luck :)
