In 2013, Amanda and Trevor both decided to step outside their comfort zone and study abroad in the north of Spain. Before the trip, Amanda joined the Facebook group that had been created for participating students and took a peek at the members page to see who would be traveling with her. From the list of profile pictures, everyone looked relatively normal, with the exception of one long-haired, bearded, lumberjack-looking guy named Trevor (actual profile picture included above, for your reference). When the group arrived in Spain, Amanda noticed that the hair had been cut and the beard shaved, but she still thought of him as the Lumberjack she had seen on Facebook. A couple weeks later on a weekend trip to Paris with a small group of students, Amanda caught Trevor singing along to Disney songs in the corner of a hostel room, and she officially decided then that the Lumberjack would be a good person to keep around.Throughout the rest of their time in Spain, they began to realize they had a lot in common and became good friends (although Amanda swears it had a lot to do with how often she gave him the food she was too full to eat). When they returned to the United States, they continued to stay in touch, and just over a year later they went on their first date. By their third date a couple of weeks later, Amanda knew she already had it bad for the funny, smart, Lumberjack guy she spotted on Facebook the summer before. The rest, as they say, is history!

Amanda and Trevor met on the streets of Madrid May 24, 2013, the first weekend of a Michigan State study abroad program in Spain. A brief conversation on the way to a bar blossomed into a friendship that kept them together more often than not over the next couple of months. Unfortunately, Trevor stupidly thought that she already had a boyfriend so he didn't make a move, but they became great friends who quickly realized they had an incredible amount of shared interests. Even more unfortunately, upon returning to the good ole US of A Amanda actually did begin dating someone not named Trevor McSween. Even though they lived in different cities for much of the next 14 months, they kept in contact and frequently shared Whose Line is it Anyway and The Office references.Prior to the start of the new fall semester on August 24, 2014, the two made plans to meet up at Amanda's for pizza and a movie. Ignorant Trevor was under the impression that it was a group event until he arrived and it was just the two of them. A minor surprise, but Trevor was still more than happy to enjoy Amanda's company along with Little Caesars and Good Will Hunting. Later in the evening Ignorant Trevor asked Amanda how her boyfriend was doing. The response: they had broken up. After some processing time for the newly learned single status of the coolest girl he knew and his crush, Informed Trevor put his square wheels in motion before this hot commodity was off the market again.A week later they went on an official first date to Guardians of the Galaxy and have been together ever since.

When Amanda was three, she asked for a baby sister. A few months later, Christmas came early and she got her wish. In the 21 years since then, they have shared a mutual love of reading, music, horrible television shows, and secretly stealing each other's clothes. Although she is younger, Amanda looks up to Holly in so many ways and she can't wait to celebrate her big day with Holly by her side!

During Paige's freshman year at Michigan State, she lived in the A wing of the first floor in Bryan Hall, the very same floor where Amanda had been assigned for her first year as an RA. One night, Amanda decided to blare "Call me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen, and the noise drew Paige to her open door. They proceeded to have a silent but furious dance party, and they've been the best of friends ever since.

Friends since birth and official sisters since 2003, Amanda has been lucky to have Paige in her life for as long as she can remember. Now that Paige lives in Omaha, they are farther apart than ever before, but Amanda knows that Paige is always there whenever she needs somebody to make her laugh, somebody to listen to her vent, or somebody to appreciate a good picture of a dog. She is excited that her wedding creates a few more excuses for Paige to come back to the Mitten to celebrate!

Jodie has patiently endured years of Amanda insisting that they are closer in age (4 years apart) than Amanda and Paige (1 year apart), and Amanda insisting that they dress in identical outfits. They won't be dressed alike on December 29, but Amanda couldn't be happier to have her big sister by her side!

From a shared love of dogs, travel, and the Office, Amanda knew from the beginning that she and Rachel would get along wonderfully. In the few years they've known each other, Amanda has been so impressed by Rachel's determination, enormous heart, and ability to brighten a room. She can't wait to call Rachel a sister!

For two decades, Amanda and Kiley have been sharing a mutual love of dance, weird nicknames, and overthinking anything and everything. Being farther apart after spending 20+ years living five minutes away from each other makes it harder to spontaneously bike to the other's house for some girl time, but Amanda knows Kiley is always there when she needs a weird dream analyzed or a good laugh.

Amanda and Emma went from being strangers to best friends in a matter of days in 2010. From performing together in the school production of the Wizard of Oz, to Emma convincing Amanda join her lacrosse team, to traveling to Florida together just weeks after becoming friends, their friendship has been full of adventure from the very beginning. Amanda has always admired Emma's enormous heart and is so excited that she will be there to help her celebrate her big day!

Amanda and Meghan were in the same first grade class, and have been friends ever since. Amanda feels so lucky to have a friend she can count on no matter how far apart they may be or how busy their schedules may get! When they do get to spend time together, it's always as if nothing has changed. Amanda has always known Meghan would be in her bridal party, and she is so excited to see that finally come true this year!

Amanda and Mel lived across the hall from each other their freshman year at Michigan State. At the first floor meeting of the year, the two sat next to each other by chance. A few minutes in, for reasons still unknown, the lollipop Amanda was eating flew out of her mouth and landed in Mel's lap. Horrified, she looked up at the poor stranger she had accidentally assaulted with half-eaten candy, but when Mel started to laugh uncontrollably, Amanda couldn't help but join in. It seems that a higher power knew that the two needed to be friends, and since that day they have shared an immeasurable number of laughs. 

Matthew Scott is Amanda's godson and youngest cousin. He enjoys balls, numbers, and shapes! Amanda can't wait for the opportunity to see how handsome he will look in a teeny, tiny suit.
