Not wanting it to end so soon and us both recognizing the spark we walked down the street and had drinks at a hole-in-the-wall bar. We sat for hours in deep conversation enjoying every minute.

After that day, we embarked on a journey together, that defied expectations, moving into our first house and creating a space where our love could flourish. And then, in the heart of Athens, Georgia, on a Tuesday night Brett and I were amazed to get tickets to see my favorite band at the Georgia Theater. We had the most incredible time and leaving the venue I looked at him and said “This night couldn’t get any better.” Little did I know that this memorable evening was about to become even more extraordinary. Immersed in the intimacy of the moment, his proposal was a deeply personal exchange between the two of us which I ecstatically accepted.
