Let’s take it back a year or so before Tristan & Amanda met! In 2022 Tristan and Amanda had no idea one another even existed.

Tristan living in Brown City, MI and Amanda living in Clay, MI. Both of them had been in serious relationships at the time and didn’t know that the outcome would soon change their lives.

In 2023 both Tristan and Amanda became single for the first time in years and were on the market once again. They both were very unsure of what they wanted for their futures, and decided to enjoy their summers. Once Summer 2023 was coming to an end, both of them decided to see what was out there. Tristan and Amanda found one another on Bumble and began to spend time together. Tristan was focused on work thinking about taking a traveling job, and Amanda was focused on herself and her daughter Kacie. Kacie was at grandmas for the summer so it made it easy for Tristan and Amanda to spend a lot of free time together getting to know one another. They share a big love for humor, cars, music and more. Their first date was at the Maritimes Festival in Marine City. This then turned into date nights at any new restaurant they both haven’t tried yet, and eventually led to a Chinese date sitting on Woodward watching all the cars go by.

Amanda was in complete awe of Tristan at this point and knew that Tristan wasn’t sure about love yet. They both took things very slow especially with wanting to introduce Kacie to Tristan. Once it was time, Kacie and Tristan got to meet. Of course they instantly bonded over picking fun at mom together! Kacie instantly deemed Tristan as the “fun” person and mom was instantly “lame”. A month or so went by and it was so obvious how crazy Tristan and Amanda were about each other. After all the heartache the last few years, it finally felt like no one else existed. Tristan and Amanda agreed that this is what they wanted. They both agreed they would love to spend the rest of their lives together. They knew they had not been together very long but that didn’t matter.

They knew that their loved ones would have so many questions for the both of them, and all they could sum it up to be is - “A person in 2 months can make you feel what a person in 2 years couldn't. Time means nothing, character does.” Tristan proposed to Amanda on January 6th, 2024… but Tristan actually already had his wedding ring! Amanda was very eager to find something that Tristan loved and couldn’t hold back from giving it to him… so you could say she proposed first! & let the wedding planning begin they said!
