Once upon a time, a very stubborn, independent girl decided to listen to her best friend and create an online dating profile. She gave it a fair shot and connected with a very tall ginger.

That very tall ginger had nearly given up on the online dating life when he connected a short night shift nurse.

They talked for a few weeks (her schedule was a mess!) and finally found time to meet. They decided to go bowling, then to a speakeasy downtown. They bowled, they laughed, they stayed 2 hours past their reservation end time at the speakeasy. She kept him out WAY past his bedtime, but all of it was worth it- because that was the last first date they’d both ever go on.

The next year and a half was filled with fun and adventure. They went camping, traveled to the Big Easy, spent time baking and cooking together, went to TX to visit his family, then finally took a big family vacation with her family to TN.

Now the ginger was sneaky, he found an excuse to visit her parents one day before the big trip… the nurse had her suspicions, but the ginger had a perfectly reasonable reason for the visit. Then the ginger, in his sneaky way, suggested they take a ‘cute outfit’ for pictures so they could get their Christmas card done early that year… the nurse, once again was suspicious, BUT the ginger was right. What a great opportunity for card photos.

So off they went to the great land of Dollywood. They stayed in a cute cabin and saw all the sites. On the last full day there, they finally had time to take their cute pictures. They set up the phone and got ready in their cute outfits and headed out to the open area behind the house. The sneaky ginger suggested they take a video so they wouldn’t have to keep running back and forth between the phone, and could just use stills from the video…

Then the ginger held the nurse’s hands, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him (que her excited penguin arms). To which her obvious response was “You sure??”

Now this is only the beginning of their story, there are many more laughs and adventures to be had and they can’t wait to see what happens next.
