John and I matched on the Facebook Dating app in April of 2020, a few weeks into Covid quarantine. We spent two weeks having video chats almost every day, then decided to meet in person. Our first in-person date was a socially distanced picnic at a park in Norman. The spring sun was shining, birds were chirping, it was a Disney movie of a day. We both knew the connection was real, and we’ve hardly spent a day apart since. We will be married almost exactly 5 1/2 years after we met.
