In 2020, amid the challenges of COVID-19 and lockdowns, Amanda and Sunny's paths finally crossed. Despite being social media followers, they had never exchanged words until Sunny shared an Instagram story about his Pokemon card collection. Seizing the opportunity, Amanda reached out to him through Direct Messages, responding to his story.

Amanda lured Sunny into watching a live stream she was hosting with a friend to sell Pokemon cards online. Sunny joined the live session and ended up purchasing a card from them. Rather than opting for the conventional shipping method, Amanda insisted on personally delivering the Pokemon card to Sunny. The rendezvous took place at Saigon Noodle House, where they exchanged the card and engaged in conversation. To their surprise, they discovered they had more in common than just a shared passion for Pokemon cards.

On December 16 2020, Sunny took the initiative and asked Amanda to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of their romantic journey. The rest, as they say, is history. Sunny later proposed to Amanda in May in his hometown of California. The couple tied the knot on December 16, 2023, and they're celebrating their union with a grand event on April 28, 2024.
