Our Wedding

We met on a perfect fall evening — an evening that drifted into night with champagne, live Irish folk fiddlers, and the kind of excitement that comes from knowing you’ve just met someone special. Since that moment, we haven’t looked away, and we’ve never looked back.Before we found each other, we each wandered the world — more than 45 countries between us — often in the same places, though never at the same time. From Southeast Asia to Europe, from 40,000 feet in the air to below sea level, we were unknowingly walking in each other’s shadows. Searching, learning, living lives full of excitement and adventure.And then, that auspicious autumn evening in Portland Oregon, time and space paused long enough for us meet.October 10, 2026, almost two years - to the day - later, we will gather with our family and friends to celebrate not only our wedding, but our shared sense of adventure and ongoing journey of love, laughter, and exploration. This time, we will be together.

A heartfelt tribute to the love and tradition of those who have married before us:Ric &amp; Chris Jones — Celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 8, 2025Bob &amp; Betty Brennan — Celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on November 29, 2025Together, that’s 100 years of love.And now, this legacy continues — symbolized by an antique engagement ring that has found a new home on Amanda’s finger, originally engraved:“A to H 11-27-1925.”

We are holding a block of rooms for the guests traveling to Morristown NJ for the wedding. There are currently 10 rooms being held for Thursday night (10/8/26); 15 rooms being held for Friday night (10/9/26), and 20 rooms being held for Saturday night (10/10/26). Access Patriots Path from the parking lot of the Governor Morris Hotel, through the backyard of the Morris County Historical Society to access the path.Follow the Blue Blaze trail along the Whippany River, past the sundial in the Rose Garden and into the Arboretum. It's a couple miles walk (the path is not always paved).
