Not many people at the age of 14 and 15 years old, can say they met their best friend and soul mate, but Mario and Amanda are some of the few. It was at a Notre Dame High School football game when the two first met. **Plot twist: Mario had a "girlfriend" at the time** That meant nothing to Amanda. When she saw Mario for the first time, she knew there was something special about this guy. Ewelina (Amanda's Best Friend/Matchmaker/Bridesmaid) played a huge part in the two beginning to talk, become friends, and eventually start dating. September 17, 2005 was the official date Mario and Amanda began dating. Throughout high school, Mario and Amanda went to every social dance together and it was safe to label these two high school sweethearts.

After high school, Mario went off to college in South Carolina, while Amanda stayed in the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. Though the first year of college did not allow for many visits or time together, they made it work. Whether it was just a few letters a month or a visit for parents' weekend the two were determined to make it work. There were some challenging times throughout the college years, but they would make it through and continue to the next chapter of their life together.

Next stop, reality and adulthood. After college, Mario came back up to New Jersey and went through the police academy to become a police officer. Amanda continued to work and gave all her support to Mario to accomplish his goals. After both had been working for some time, in 2019 they finally were able to purchase their first home together. About a year later, Mario , popped the question and Amanda said YES! September 17, 2021, 16 years later from their first date, Mario and Amanda will officially become Mr. and Mrs. Mario Lanzetta.
