Austin and Amanda have shared many zoo dates here! Our favorite animals to visit are the penguins, sun bear, red pandas, lemurs, jaguars, otters, camel, kookaburra, zebras, and giraffes. Giraffe feedings are held daily from 11:00am - 3:00pm (weather permitting), and penguin feedings are held daily at 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm. The zoo does contain hills when walking, but tram rides are also available. Zoo hours are 9:00am - 4:00pm all week. Most of the zoo is in the sun, so be sure to bring sunscreen!

If you have kids, CMOE is a great hands-on experience for little ones! Exhibits include Fantastic Plastic, Live Well, Quack Factory, Speak Loud, Work Smart, Artmaker Studio, and Kids World. Swonder Ice Arena is an indoor ice rink that offers public skating in addition to events such as 90s night. For more information about specific events, visit their website. Public skating at Swonder Ice Arena is available Friday 7:00pm - 9:00pm, Saturday 1:00pm - 3:00pm, and Sunday 1:00pm - 3:00pm.

Another popular date night location for Austin and Amanda! If you enjoy classic arcade games, pinball machines, and Skee Ball, we highly recommend! Austin's favorite game is Street Fighter II: Champion Edition from 1992, and Amanda's favorite game is Burger Time from 1982. We usually grab a Coke at the bar, and games are free with purchase of drink! Pinball machines require quarters. Quarter machines are available for small bills. This is for the 21+ crowd only, as alcohol is available at the bar as well. High Score Saloon is open 5:00pm - 1:00am on Fridays, 1:00pm - 1:00am on Saturdays, and 2:00pm - 12:00am on Sundays.

Austin and Amanda love a good arcade. This arcade is family-friendly! Air hockey, pinball, Skee Ball, and classic arcade games are available at this location. Payment at the door gives you access to all games for one whole day with reentry permitted. Austin's favorite game is Dig Dug from 1982, and Amanda's favorite games are Mario Bros. from 1983 and Q*bert from 1982. Hours are Friday 3:00pm - 9:00pm, Saturday 12:00pm - 9:00pm, and Sunday 11:00am - 7:00pm.

If shopping is what you're looking for, Evansville's most popular indoor mall is Eastland Mall. Stores include Bath & Body Works, JCPenney, Macy's, Dillard's, American Eagle, Maurice's, Journey's, Hot Topic, Box Lunch, Old Navy, Build-a-Bear Workshop, Sephora, and more. Hours are Fridays 10:00am - 8:00pm, Saturdays 10:00am - 8:00pm, and Sundays 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

One of Austin and Amanda's favorite places for lunch or dinner. Café Arazu has a middle eastern inspired menu with a cozy atmosphere. We recommend the Chicken Shawarma, Curry Chicken Salad, Spinach and Artichoke Wrap, and the Beef Kebabs (Chelow-Kebob). The rice of the day and seasoned potato wedges with chipotle sauce are go-to options for sides. Outdoor seating is available (and beautiful!) We recommend calling ahead for a reservation or visiting at an off-time, as it's frequently busy on the weekends!

If Himalayan cuisine is your vibe, Austin and Amanda love Yak and Yeti! This restaurant appears small, but it has big flavor! We recommend the Traditional or Fried Momo Dumplings, Chicken Tikka Masala, Madras Chicken Curry, Lamb Kadai, and Garlic Naan.

Nellie's is Austin and Amanda's favorite spot for brunch! We recommend the Skillets! There is also a north side location in Evansville on First Avenue. (Warning: We both ALWAYS have leftovers!)

Azzip is a local pizza chain where the pizza is made personal, right in front of you! We highly recommend any of the Azzip locations for groups that prefer to pick their own pizza toppings individually! Build your own and menu options available. Amanda recommends the Italian Stallion, and Austin recommends being adventurous and going for the pizza of the month!

If eating downtown, Austin and Amanda recommend going to Bru Burger! Ketchup is made in-house and is delicious! The onion rings are Austin's favorite!

Udon noodles and pizza are two of the items you'll find on the menu here. We love the Pistachio Pizza! Vegan options available.

Austin and Amanda's (other) favorite spot for brunch! The location also provides carry-out options and a coffee bar if you just want to grab a coffee and a pastry. Austin recommends the Farmhouse, and Amanda recommends the Breakfast Burrito!

If you're looking to jump in the pool, Austin and Amanda recommend Burdette Park! The location also features a small lake for fishing and viewing ducks/geese, as well as walking trails. Austin and Amanda frequent Burdette during nice weather for picnics, walks, visiting the ducks and geese, and swimming. Pool hours are 10:00am - 7:00pm Fridays and Saturdays, and 12:00pm - 7:00pm on Sundays.

Looking for a cozy coffeeshop? We love Penny Lane! Hours are Fridays 7:00am - 6:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am - 5:00pm. and Sundays 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Honey Moon has great coffee and tasty breakfast croissant sandwiches! There are multiple locations around town. Hours are Fridays 6:45am - 5:00pm, Saturdays 7:00am - 5:00pm, and Sundays 7:00am - 5:00pm.

Yummy place to grab a sandwich or a pastry for anyone staying closer to the Newburgh area! It's on the beautiful Newburgh Riverfront strip, and outdoor seating is available. Amanda recommends the bread pudding!
