They met at work. Josh and Amanda were both working at a coal mine at the time they met. Josh was an underground coal miner and Amanda worked in the guard shack at the entrance of the mine. One day as Josh was leaving work, he asked Amanda if she would be interested in going on a date with him. Of course, she said yes. Their first date was at Applebee's and then they saw Big Hero 6. Like a gentleman, Josh asked for a kiss before the end of the date. Their first date was on March 19th of 2015.

Since their first date, they've went on many trips as a couple and made some great memories. They've been to many places together like Yellowstone National Park, Badlands National Park, Smokey Mountains National park, Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Mt. Rushmore, and many more! They enjoy traveling with each other, having a good time, and experiencing new things. They have 2 dogs Ruby a German Shepard and Kane a Siberian Husky that make great travel companions. Josh proposed to Amanda in Acadia National Park on top of Cadillac Mountain in September of 2021. Cadillac Mountain was so beautiful and a perfect place to propose! Amanda and Josh cant wait to start their lives together and continue to make more beautiful memories and experiences together.

Joshua grew up in California. He moved to West Virginia with his family in his 20s and started working as an underground coal miner. Now, he lives in Washington, Pennsylvania with Amanda and their 2 dogs. Josh works for Hydroedge in the oil and gas industry. Josh enjoys playing the guitar. He also enjoys fishing and leatherworking. Josh has a penchant for interactive visual media.

Amanda grew up in Grassflat, Pennsylvania. She moved to Slippery Rock, PA while in college. There she got her bachelor's degree in criminology. She was also a member of the Track and Field team throwing the hammer, weight, and discus. After graduation she decided to go back to college and now has her master's degree in criminal justice. Now she lives in Washington PA with Joshua and their 2 dogs. Amanda works for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Corrections Officer. She enjoys traveling and experiencing new things. Amanda can often be found relaxing in the sun with her nose in a good book. She also enjoys hiking and camping.
