Hello friends, family, and fellow travelers!
You are cordially invited to come celebrate the culmination of over 10 wonderful years together as Amanda Mitchell and Tom Malone kick off the next phase of their lives by joining in holy matrimony. Terminal procrastinators, they are thrilled to finally get all of their loved ones together that have supported them through the years for overdue reunions and new introductions. They are both products of their unique families and look forward to joining forces for this next chapter!
Tom the III’s story starts first, born in 1985 to young but excited parents Tom Jr. and Katherine Malone in Providence, Rhode Island. With ample love and support from grandparents and aunties alike, this brash yet resourceful young family soon had a new addition...Tom’s lifelong best friend and beloved brother Rob. After navigating Tom Jr.’s military service and several career explorations by both parents, the family eagerly added baby sister Lindsey to the fold. Transplanting from RI to New Hampshire in the mid 90’s, the Malones ultimately settled in the quaint lakeside town of Alton, where Tom attended high school. After school, in his late teens through early 20’s, Tom mainly pursued his artistic passions, living a colorful and itinerant lifestyle, drifting in and out of college in between traveling the country touring and performing in various musical acts as a heavy metal drummer. Tom then went on to try his hat as an entrepreneur, running several small businesses while exploring different career options.
In the bustling heart of Dorchester, MA in 1987, the Mitchell household welcomed Amanda Eve Mitchell, a beacon of creativity and familial warmth in a lively, blended family. Raised alongside siblings Allura, Alexia, Terrell, Nicky, and Keisha, Amanda's childhood was a cacophony of laughter, carpentry projects led by her mother Pamela, and endless shenanigans. Her familial sphere extended to Dedham, MA, with stepmother Janette Lake and siblings Andrea, Jason, Adreanne, Alisa, and Buddy, where the tradition of heartwarming hospitality and animated storytelling thrived. Amanda's story is a rich family tapestry that seamlessly intertwines with Toms, together preparing to weave a new chapter of their collective journey.
Tom and Amanda fortuitously crossed paths circa 2013 when mutual friend (and honored wedding guest) Shuvy Wall introduced them. They hit it off immediately as friends, despite Amanda’s healthy skepticism towards this intriguing man full of wild stories and idiosyncratic perspectives. The historical record is controversial, but if pressed, Tom would testify that their first date was his invitation of Amanda to be his mock patient for his EMT certification exam (whether she was aware of this as a “date” or not). Amanda may claim that their first date was a strange and harrowing musical performance by another honored guest (who shall remain nameless to protect the guilty). Either way, this series of fortunate events set the stage for the beautiful adventure of navigating the trials and travails of life as one, with both a witness and a teammate. For her part, Amanda has been extraordinarily successful building her career to unforeseen heights, preceded by the challenging slog of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration while working full-time, never neglecting her obligations to support her loving family through their own tribulations. Amanda has served as a rock and exemplar for everyone, not least of all her appreciative future husband, as he worked the kinks out of various business ventures to build a solid foundation for their future family.
Amanda is a true Renaissance woman, a walking Swiss army knife of hobbies and skills. She can turn yarn into full garments from scratch, bake any gourmet dish, debug your website, broker a million-dollar contract, hire all your staff, retile your shower, repair your transmission, transform herself into a monstrous creature with Hollywood grade special fx makeup, and can always find a good compromise for any conflict. She is a real trooper as a city mouse in humoring Tom’s thirst for adventure, whether it be his love of extreme and excessively remote wild nature or his avant-garde artistic interests. Tom has now become Bob Vila in his encyclopedic knowledge of home improvement projects but would probably rather talk music or close encounters with grizzly bears instead.
We are thrilled to see everyone and appreciate everyone making trips, long or short, to support us on our big day. Welcome to the party pals!
