Our Wedding

The Beginning!

Amanda &amp; Adam met fall of 2018, first semester sophomore year at Purdue! They met at a Christmas party at the house next door to where Adam would eventually live senior year. As seen on the "Photos" tab, Amanda was wearing a red Christmas Jumper &amp; Adam an ugly Christmas sweater! The rest of sophomore year was filled with sorority &amp; fraternity formals and falling in love :)

Their first summer together started with Adam's first visit to Amanda's home, Chicago! Internships &amp; long distance followed - Adam in Phoenix, AZ &amp; Amanda in Saginaw, MI. They were lucky to be able to each visit each other - exploring the gardens of Michigan &amp; hiking around Phoenix &amp; Sedona!

First semester junior year was filled with Amanda's first visit to Cincinnati, Purdue Football, barn dances, PUDM (featuring Amanda's pink wig)... and an unexpected eye surgery for Adam! Luckily all was okay &amp; Amanda got to visit him while he recovered!

First Thanksgiving together 2019! Pie responsibility was taken seriously! Followed by Adam's first Christmas in Chicago :)

Second semester junior year was cut short due to COVID - but Adam &amp; Amanda still got to go to their first concert together (AJR), celebrate Amanda turning 21, and spend the last couple days before lockdown in Gatlinburg, TN for spring break!

Summer 2020 was Adam's first time living in Minneapolis while Amanda was completing research at Purdue. They filled the summer with visits &amp; ended it with Amanda's first Cameron vacation to Captiva, FL!

Senior year was definitely not what they expected due to COVID - but they made the best of it with trips to the Indiana Dunes, a ski trip to Boyne with best friends &amp; multiple hangouts at Odette's apartment! Those included a Ross &amp; Rachel Halloween and Amanda's surprise 22nd Taylor Swift themed birthday party! Adam &amp; Odette really went all out for this, including a custom evermore cake (Amanda's 2nd favorite Taylor album), and it is something Amanda cherishes greatly :)

The Middle!!

First year post-grad was long distance - Adam back in Minneapolis &amp; Amanda in Chicago. They made multiple trips to visit each other, filled with embracing the Minneapolis cold, visiting Duluth, concerts &amp; musicals, a trip back home for Purdue Football, and Cameron family vacays in Captiva &amp; Michigan. They also made trips to visit friends in Washington D.C. &amp; Lake Placid, NY!

Adam was able relocate to Chicago (thankful for companies who prioritize family!), so Adam &amp; Amanda moved in together fall 2022! The following year was a fun &amp; challenging one, filled with lots of memories &amp; trips to the city &amp; Austin, TX, while also taking care of Amanda's mom who was very sick. Adam was Amanda's rock, and they grew even closer with her mom through the trenches &lt;3

Amanda's mom received the greatest blessing May 3rd, 2023 - a liver transplant from her college best friend, who we call Aunt Katie! The Wienermobile oddly became the symbol of these couple weeks as it was parked outside Northwestern hospital! Again, Adam was incredible in helping Amanda take care of her mom through recovery - organizing her plethora of meds, changing bandages, carrying her walker, and more! "You need to marry that man!" - Aunt Katie to Amanda in the hospital :)

With a more time for themselves now that Amanda's mom was healthy, they went to many more concerts (their favorite pass time!) family vacations to Breckinridge &amp; Anna Maria, FL, enjoying the outdoors, &amp; the Nutcracker!

The Start of Forever!! <3

On June 22nd 2024, Adam convinced Amanda they were going downtown for dinner with some coworkers. On the way to the supposed restaurant walking along the Chicago riverwalk, Adam pulled Amanda aside and asked her to marry him. And of course she said YES!!! Well, after she went quiet and started shaking out of pure shock, Adam may or may not have had to shake Amanda out of the surprise to get her to say something haha! Adam took her on a boat ride on the river afterwards in a pink Cadillac-inspired boat named Pricilla! They finished celebrating with a nice seafood dinner, calling family, &amp; cuddling Pita &lt;3

They celebrated their engagement with a trip to Greece with best friends, and a Cubs game with Amanda's brother Mikey who got them custom jerseys with their date &amp; engagement location!

Suddenly &amp; tragically, Amanda's mom fell ill &amp; passed away November 20th, 2024. That Wednesday morning in the hospital, after being told by the doctors Amanda's mom wasn't going to make it, Adam saw through the tears and asked Amanda to marry him in the hospital. He knew exactly what could bring peace in the midst of chaos &amp; tragedy, the ability for Amanda to hold her mom's hand while they said their vows. With family &amp; friends on FaceTime &amp; in the ICU room, the hospital Chaplain married us the morning of November 20th, 2024. Amanda's wedding band is her mom's ring with all 4 kids birthstones, which we ended up adding a pink tourmaline, October's birthstone, to for Adam. Adam's wedding band is a sapphire &amp; diamond ring Amanda had made out of a necklace her mom had gifted her as a thank you for taking care of her through her health battle in 2023. To know Amanda's mom got to be a part of our day &amp; story, while not in the way imagined, brings us peace &amp; joy we have held onto during this time. We are extremely grateful &amp; blessed for the community that has surrounded us. There is heaviness and lightness in this time, and a light is knowing we get to celebrate our marriage with all our closest people in August!

Amanda's sister, mini-me, Reputation to her Lover, Rachel to her Monica! They commonly get mistaken for twins, and wouldn't have it any other way, even though Amanda IS 5 years older! Fun fact: Amanda named Gracie! The whole family, except Amanda, thought she was going to be a boy, and when they turned out to be wrong, Mom & Dad had already promised Amanda naming rights :)

Amanda's New Jersey queen! Emily & Amanda quickly became friends freshman year, unsurprisingly so as the same girls rushed them into their sorority Phi Mu! They have continued to to balance each others dumb decisions since day 1... except when they both decided to leave the 2018 Ohio State - Purdue game early because they were freezing. At least they had cheesy bread!

Amanda's college bestie, folklore to her evermore & certified Save the Date designer - yes, she hand drew the flowers & details on our Save the Dates!!! Odette & Amanda kept each other standing through mechanical engineering undergrad & COVID senior year, filled with MANY delusional study sessions, bachelor watch parties, and a Taylor Swift surprise 22nd birthday party for Amanda - the most special night!

Amanda's sorority big & Greek goddess! Their friendship grew over late night chats in the Phi Mu kitchen & sushi dates through college, with Amanda greatly benefiting from Eleni's free Starbucks. If Eleni, Emily & Amanda aren't talking about books, they're probably planning the quickest way to all be together again! Eleni now lives in Athens, so she wins the award for furthest traveled wedding guest!

Adam's Sister-in-Law (Matt’s wife) and mom to our ring bearers, Owen & Carter! Watch out for those two on the dance floor, they'll definitely steal your heart! She's been a Cameron for 10 years, only after 11-year-old Adam didn't let Matt & Nicole sit next to each other in the car during Nicole's first trip home with Matt. Nicole’s a girl after Amanda’s own heart - preferring ice cream over cake, so make sure you grab your Graeter's at the wedding ;)

Adam's Sister-in-Law (Alex’s wife) and new mom to James, the cutest munchkin! Unfortunately, due to being a bridesmaid, she won’t be able to show off her harpist talent during the ceremony (yes, she plays the harp!) She is California born & raised, but Ohio native now at heart. She is a bomb cook, especially her Mexican food we look forward to every family vacation! 

Megan Cameron

Adam's oldest and tallest brother! Despite a ten-year age gap with Adam, their memories created together never took a break when Matt left for college. Adam as an elementary schooler would be tossed up and down in the Ohio State football student section, landing himself on the Jumbotron a time or two :) Matt is known for his ability to captivate a group through his witty humor and animated retelling of events!

Adam's brother and teacher of how to work hard and play hard! Alex's infectious energy and irresistible charisma have always kept life interesting for Adam. Whether it was getting Adam "Cokes" from the bar at family events or drinking actual cokes in brown bags while smoking bubble gum cigars in Captiva, FL. Alex has always been there to ensure that life continues to be a party!

Adam's fraternity brother and best friend! They lived together during college and would be the ones fixing up the ATΩ house and traveling up to Cy's lake house to enjoy a few friendly games of Screw the Dealer. Fun Fact -  Cy and Adam forgot they had messaged one another before freshman year at Purdue about possibly rooming together until halfway through pledge ship. Both wished they had roomed together!

Adam's "3rd older brother", his fraternity big! Quickly, Adam and Sam's friendship flourished through Purdue University Dance Marathon and their shared interest in Purdue Phi Mu (where Sam's best friends were too) :) Sam established himself amongst Adam and his friends as a role model and mentor for navigating college. Sam's infectious laugh and ability to orchestrate a party or gathering is guaranteed to make everyone have a good time!

Amanda's Oldest Brother who never clocks out—whether it's work or life, he's always on the move! Mikey is a scratch golfer and dog dad to a golden retriever named Tucker, the best part about visiting Austin ;)  Adam’s first bonding experience with Mikey was playing golf in miserable 40 degree weather, powered by some liquid encouragement & complete with Mikey spraining his knee!

Amanda's Brother and award winner for the loudest person in any room he enters! Andrew is a movie lover, Warhammer fanatic, but most importantly a dog dad to Stitch. When he’s not listening to a sci-fi audiobook while walking Stitch, he is most likely making you laugh. And how can you not when you hear his contagious laugh?!

WELCOME PARTYShuttle will depart at 6:30pm to take guests to Bishop's Quarter, and will be at Bishop's Quarter at 9pm, 10pm, and 11pm to take guests back to Staybridge Suites. WEDDING DAYTwo shuttles will depart at 4:30pm to take guests to the ceremony, and then one will run continuously through the night to take guests back to Staybridge Suites.
