In the wise words of Vince Gill, “ ‘Cause we got the type of love people dream about.” There is nothing but tranquil love that we both give each other everyday and I couldn’t be more grateful that it happened to me. The love that we hold for one another is an unwavering and constant love, and there is no one that can match that on this earth. This is the story that I remember, but it may be told a little different from Amanda’s point of view.


Meeting Amanda in 11th grade was one of the most miraculous things that I ever would have imagined because I never would have thought the love I have for her would have bloomed into this. Becoming friends first was the best thing we did before being in a relationship because I got to meet the real person much sooner. Asking her to my senior prom was very interesting because although we were friends, I started to really like her because she was always so real. Life takes you in other directions sometimes and we stayed friends for a long time after that, but I always knew that someday I would drift back to her.


We began hanging out again after a while and the wave of emotions started to roll back in for me. After going back and forth a while, we finally decided to give it a chance and see if it would last. It not only lasted, but she will be my wife in a few short months and I could not have thanked God enough for the opportunity. Im glad she never gave up on me after me being so annoying everytime we saw each other. Im glad that she saw something in me that maybe I didnt even see in myself from time to time. I never thought that I could feel so strongly about woman until I found her. She is truly the greatest blessing that I have ever had in my life, and I will always treasure the memories I have with her and will continue to have with her.
So here’s to a lifetime of happiness with the person that keeps my whole world glued together!
