Richard and I met a few years ago at Lids. We ran around in the same circle and occasionally hung out in a big group. We shared&nbsp;a common love for music and this is what he used as an excuse to chat with me. After a few failed attempts of him trying to hang out one on one - he finally offered to take me to Bakersfield and it was an offer I couldn't refuse. We spent hours there just talking and drinking margaritas, it was so easy! After that night I tried hard to not want to keep talking to him but I caved for a second date..a hike at Eagle Creek..and it was over. I knew there wasn't a chance of this not happening. It felt like I had known him my whole life. Like he was just supposed to be there.&nbsp;







I never imagined myself getting married. We discussed it once and never&nbsp; really&nbsp;talked about it again. One very busy weekend in June of 2017 he asked me to go for a hike with him that Sunday since we hadn't been back since our second date. We were in Ohio Friday night for a friends reception, a huge concert Saturday night, and literally the last thing I wanted to do was get up and go hiking Sunday morning - I wanted to lay by the pool!&nbsp;BUT I had been bugging him about going for awhile&nbsp;so I figured I'd better take advantage of this chance. We set off on the same trail we hiked on a year and a half before - it was a beautiful warm morning so the park was busy! Around 5 minutes in Richard stopped and kinda looked around (which annoyed me - helloooo we have a pool to get back to!) and&nbsp; not thinking anything of it,&nbsp;I gave him a hard time for stopping, he fumbled with his words but we kept going. Shortly after, he stopped for real and got down on one knee,&nbsp;said the sweetest things to me, and&nbsp;asked me to spend my life with him. It was just us and it was perfect. A compete surprise and I cried like a baby!&nbsp;He was the last thing I expected but can't imagine my life without him now.&nbsp;



I am beyond excited to share this day, and our love, with everyone!

I remember seeing Amanda from across the room during my first full day at Lids and I was instantly mesmerized by her. There was something about her that just left me wanting more. 

 











Fast-forward two years, and it was finally time to take the risk. I asked her out a couple times&hellip; okay a few times.. and she finally said yes about going out to dinner. Let’s be honest she really just wanted free tacos and margs from Bakersfield. 

 











She got there before me and was sitting with her back to the door with two seats on either side. I don’t think I’ve ever been that nervous before because something about this moment felt different. We ended up talking and sipping margaritas for the next three hours. We even forgot to order tacos, and just settled for chips and guac.&nbsp; 

 











When it was time to leave I could tell neither one of us wanted that night to end, but like all things it had to. I walked her to her car, and that’s when we had our first kiss. Everyone told me when you know you know, and it was in that moment that I knew Amanda was the one for me. I even texted my roommate Nikki and told her this one if very different.

 











Amanda and I continued to spend time together over the next 8 months going on hikes at Eagle Creek, smashing wings and beer on Sundays, lusting over pizza, and becoming inseparable. That’s when we decided to take a giant leap for our relationship and move in together. We moved into our tiny apartment in late April with the help of our friends and family. I’d never lived with a girl outside of my sister before, and let me tell you I was in for an experience. I didn’t realize that hair would be everywhere all the time or that HGTV was can’t miss television. 

 











We had our ups and downs over that next year learning how to co-exist and grow together, but nothing’s made me happier than being with Amanda. 

 











On June 4th 2017 I got down on one knee and popped the question. We went back to Eagle Creek where we had our second date, and did the same walk. We were still flirty and playful with a side of awkward at times. A lot has changed over two and half years we’ve been dating, but our weirdness, love, and affection for one another keeps getting stronger. 

 











This is not the end of our story, but just the beginning. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, and I couldn’t have dreamed up a woman more amazing than Amanda. I can’t wait to celebrate our big day with all of you who love and support us.&nbsp;

Holly is the oldest of us Otoupal girls and is the Matriarch of the family.&nbsp;We didn’t necessarily “grow up” together but she has been an integral part of my life growing up. I have always looked up to her for approval and advice, even today!&nbsp;

I’m not sure where to start when it comes to Brian. I can’t remember a time when we weren’t friends, and most of my memories growing up involve Brian. We spent countless hours playing paintball, Halo, capture the flag, and basketball. Brian and I lived together for two years, and I can’t put into words how thankful I am to have Brian in my life.

Matt and I also met at Hanover through football, where he was a backup center and I was a backup quarterback. Matt is the friend that will always be there for you no matter what. He’s always been there through the bad times, and celebrated the good times with me.

Jon was my next door neighbor growing up, and the little brother I never had. Our families spent most Friday and Saturday nights together and went on vacation together. We still talk about the horror stories of our moms coloring our hair with frosted tips, or getting in trouble ruining his dad’s lawn by practicing our diving baseball catches in Jon’s front yard.

I got the wonderful opportunity to be maid of honor when she married the love of her life, and I am so thankful she agreed to be part of our day.

Where do I start with Brooks, I met Brooks my freshman year at Hanover when I was rushing Phi Delta Theta. We bonded over our love of sports and competitive spirit for intramural’s. Brooks isn’t just one of my closest friends and fraternity brothers, but also the person that recruited me to Springbuk (aka my boss).

Shawn was a fellow freshman quarterback at Hanover who also lived down the hall from me. He never spent any time in his room though because he was always in mine playing Xbox. We both rushed Phi Delta Theta and roomed together for the next three years.&nbsp;

Zach and I also met at Hanover through football, but he’s also my Phi Delta Theta Big Brother. We quickly bonded with over our love of meat, lifting, and caveman tendencies.
