Kenzie Burgin - Matron of Honor
Amanda and I have been friends since she came to Assumption in the first grade… that’s 20+ years of friendship! We have been through it together and have some great memories. She has been the best friend I could ask for and has been there for me when I needed someone the most. From playing sports together in grade school and having sleepovers to being in each other’s weddings, life has had a way of keeping us close to one another. I am so honored to be her Matron of Honor and stand by her on the biggest day of her life.
Zack Murray - Best Man
Zack and Riley first met at the University of Akron where Riley completely ignored Zack’s request to hang out. Believe it or not, this led to an amazing friendship. Their friendship blossomed into 3 years of living together, being best gym partners, and always being down to play ping pong on repeat. Although they live 4 hours apart, they keep in constant contact discussing the gym, golf, and of course… cars (against Zack’s will).
Anna Thompson - Maid of Honor
Anna is not only the maid of honor, but she is lucky enough to be Riley's little sister. Anna grew up always looking up to her older brother. She cheered him on at all of his sporting events, and she can't wait to be a part of his and Amanda's special day. As the years have passed, Anna and Riley have only grown closer as Anna now comes on his friends' weekend trips to Cincinnati when all his college friends come to visit. Anna is so excited to finally have a sister after asking her parents for years as a child for a sister.
Jason Wiebrecht - Groomsman
Jason and Ginger Riley first met in 2015 at Rob’s dining hall at The University of Akron, and lived together for 3 years. They have remained close over the years, bonding over being better than Zack (see above) at a lot of things. Jason is smarter, more athletic and better looking than Zack. While Ginger Riley is faster than Zack, has larger muscles and more freckles. Jason and Ginger Riley enjoy many activities together, such as playing video games and long walks to/from the bar. Their love has remained strong despite the hundreds of miles between them. Now they get to create another life long memory while Jason stands by his side on his wedding day.
Michelle Ozolins - Bridesmaid
Michelle met Amanda in 1997. Amanda was the newest cousin entering the Ozolins family. We spent our days at our grandma's house where I would have to sacrifice everything I used to play with before she was born, but that came with a cost. I even tried to run her over with our grandma's car at one point....oops. Flash forward to today, Amanda has turned into a sister I've never had. <3
Ryan Kordahi - Groomsman
Riley came into my life unexpectedly and all at once; barging into my dorm room while I was taking a very calculated 20 minute nap between classes. At the time, I believe he was looking for my roommate to walk to some event together. But I’d like to think he found something much better; a groggy nerd. Since the elegant introduction, we hit it off as buds and have built a bit of a dynamic! Sure, we have the normal overlap in interests of lifting, computers, cars, and the outdoors. But many conversations ultimately lead to what might be referred to as “scheming”, where often each of us is trying to convince the other to leave their respective comfort zone. (Now, I won’t name names, but one of us will quite frequently try to convince the other to leave their comfort zone in order to buy a vehicle, while one of us will try to convince the other leave their comfort zone in order to not buy a vehicle.) Riley’s been a key friend, offering his perspective and asking the right questions. I’m thrilled to welcome Amanda into the group scheming and ecstatic for them to start their next chapter together.
Bryanna Stafford - Bridesmaid
Amanda and I met a few years ago while she was organizing a group trip to Gatlinburg. I remember sitting at the table with her and being genuinely impressed by her kindness and dedication in planning such a big trip for so many people. It was clear from the start that she was someone who took the reins and made things happen, and I admired her for that. As we chatted and got to know each other better, I realized that our dynamic was perfectly set: she would be the detailed planner, and I would happily enjoy the fruits of her well-organized efforts! There’s something so special about having a friend who brings people together and creates unforgettable experiences. Our friendship took time to grow, but with each adventure, conversation, and shared laughs, it blossomed into something truly meaningful. I cannot wait to stand by her side and be a part of the most special day of her life.
Nathan Zack - Groomsman
Riley and I met during our interviews in Cleveland to get into anesthesia school. My first observations when meeting Riley - red head with freckles and glasses, this kid is a nerd... I’m definitely getting in over him! Turns out we both made it into the same school in DC and it didn’t take long for me to realize he wasn’t just a nerd. In fact, this kid loved competition and sports almost as much as I did, and he was a smart ass (another thing we have in common)! During our second year we were living together when COVID hit. You would think being in a strange city, with a bunch of strangers, nothing to do, would be terrible but it ended up being one of the best summers ever. We made the most of it disc golfing, playing video games, board games, kan jam, home workouts daily, and plenty more nonsense with a little school sprinkled in. Now we spend our time together vacationing! Whether that’s on the slopes snowboarding, on a boat at the now annual Memorial Day trip to Shawn’s or various other special trips we always have a great time getting together.
Nicole Hopkins - Bridesmaid
Nicole and Amanda's friendship is a beautiful testament to the power of connection and shared experiences. From their first adventure together, it was clear they were destined to be friends. Whether they’re bonding over their love for animals, dancing the night away, or celebrating victories after jumping off that battle bus, their laughter and support for one another are constant. As Amanda embarks on this new chapter with Riley, Nicole stands proudly by her side as a bridesmaid, ready to celebrate the love and friendship that has brought them to this moment. Their bond is a reminder of the love that surrounds us all, making this day even more special.
Shawn Brewer - Groomsman
I first met Riley in 2019 when we were both attending Case Western’s CAA program in Washington, D.C. From the start, we connected through our shared interests and the intensity of the program. Whether it was navigating the challenges of our coursework or exploring the city in our free time, we quickly became close friends. What started as an academic experience turned into one of the most meaningful connections I’ve made and I am so happy to be standing by his side for such a special day.
John Ewing - Groomsman
John met Riley through car events and has formed a strong friendship in the past few years, having similar interests in almost anything with an engine. Their time spent together is often spent working on projects, playing games or figuring out what the next car in the garage should be. I consider Riley a close friend and look forward to standing by his side on his special day.
