If you would have told me about three years ago I would have found the man of my dreams, I would have told you shut up! On Christmas day of 2013, that night I went to the local bar for one of my friends 21st birthdays. At the time I had a boyfriend whom I had meet at college so for Christmas break he was back home. While at the bar I looked at my phone and saw I had a Facebook message from this "Alan Priest", whom I had no idea who he was. I asked some of my friends if they knew him. Katie (who is one of my bridesmaids) said "yeah, that's the kid that you were talking to at my dad's bar" (Monte's also where I worked at the time). Aha! I know knew who he was. We talked about how his grandmother had just passed away, he gave me his number and told me to text him. I felt very unsure about it, since I was dating someone at the time, so I didn't text him. About two weeks later my boyfriend at the time and I had broken up.... For some reason I remembered that Al had given me his number so I messaged him and ever since then we have been inseparable. March 19.2013 he FINALLY asked me to be his girlfriend after hanging out for over two months. In July Al got an apartment and I decided to move in with him. Soon after that we decided that we were going to look for a house, in that moment I had a feeling this was the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with! While searching for houses I decided in December of 2013 to go back to school and get my degree in Elementary Education. I only needed to take my methods courses and student teach. In March of 2014 we closed on our first house and moved in! Then we got the surprise of a life time, August of 2014 we found out we were expecting a baby in April of 2015! When we found out I was a bit taken back, we were not married and I would be student teaching during April. Al was completely over the moon about having a baby. I slowly became excited about it. Around Thanksgiving of 2014 we found out it was a girl. April 17, 2015 Rilynn Danyelle Priest was brought into our lives! We are completely blessed to have her. I finished school in May of 2015. One night I cam home from work, I heard Al in the kitchen but also heard Rilynn crying from the monitor in the living room. I ran upstairs and scooped her up. Next thing I knew the lights turned on, I looked at Al and said " What are you doing, I'm trying to get her to sleep" he said "what is that in the corner of her crib?" At this point I was annoyed and I said "I have no clue Alan". I turned around to get her binky and turned back around and Al was down on one knee. He asked me to share the same last name as Rilynn and him. I of course said "YES!!!". Everything has happened so fast, but we wouldn't have it any other way! We could not be happier to begin this journey together, but also with Rilynn.
