When is the RSVP deadline?
The RSVP deadline is April 28, 2023. Please send the RSVP slip back that was in your invitations and let us know if you can make it. We look forward to celebrating with you!
Where is the ceremony/reception taking place? Indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be held outdoors at Cathedral Beach Picnic Area located in Yosemite National Park. The dinner/after party will both be held indoors located at Bass Lake and Oakhurst.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
The weather for the first week of June in Yosemite is projected to be in the 70’s-80’s. In Oakhurst it tends to be warmer than Yosemite.
What should I wear?
We are asking guests to wear spring cocktail attire for the ceremony and dinner (reference the guest outfit inspiration tab for ideas on what to wear). Please refrain from wearing shades of white and green. Also keep in mind we will be on uneven surfaces during the ceremony. For the after party guests are welcome to change into more comfortable clothes back at the hotel.
Do you have hotel blocks for guests?
We would like guests to stay at the same hotel if possible. We do have a block of rooms on hold. Please look under the “Travel & Lodge” tab for more information on where to book.
Can I bring a date?
Due to limited capacity at our ceremony site we do have a strict guest list. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can relax and celebrate with us.
What time should I arrive?
We will be leaving the hotel for the ceremony at 8 a.m sharp. Please be outside the hotel at 7:50 a.m to load into vehicles. The day of itinerary is located in your invitation suite.
How do I get to the venue?
Some guests have volunteered to drive other guests to the ceremony site due to limited parking capacity. If you have not volunteered to drive you will be driving up with someone else. Please be on time for the departure at the hotel. We will be leaving on time, if you are late you will not be accommodated for the day.
Where should guests park?
We will all be following each other up to the ceremony site. Once we get to the entrance gates the fee to enter will be paid/covered by us. Parking at the site is free.
What happens after the ceremony.
After the ceremony there will be group pictures. Following group pictures will be a picnic at the ceremony site as well as speeches given. After those events we will be exploring the park. Dinner reservations in Bass Lake are at 5pm.
How will we be getting to dinner?
We will be leaving the park at 3:45 (depending at where our group is in the park) and following each other to dinner just as we followed each other to the ceremony site. As stated dinner reservations are at 5pm.
Will there be an open bar?
Open bar…. A.K.A AFTER PARTY!! We ask that during dinner guests do not have any alcoholic beverages due to road conditions. Following dinner we will be going to a local bar across the street from the hotel to continue the festivities. Yes, the drinks are on us!
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
We ask that during the ceremony all phones are tucked away and silenced; we’ve hired amazing professionals for those photos. After the ceremony feel free to take all the photos you want throughout the night. Please be courteous of posting photos of the bride and groom. We would love to be the first to post photos of ourselves. Also, please share photos from the day/night on the QR code we will provide you; we’d love to see the wedding from your eyes.
