We met for the first time at college at Ohio University in 2010 after being introduced by a mutual friend. Unfortunately we didn't meet up again for another year at Broney's Alumni Grill where Andy worked. After having a fun night with our friends dancing the night away we met up the next day at the famous spring festival Palmer Fest. We spent the whole day talking and laughing and decided to go on an adventure up one of the hills that overlooks Athens. We didn't stop to think about the fact that it had rained all day and we ended up barely making it to the top because of all of the mud and we ended up loosing our keys in the process. We didn't get to enjoy making it up to the top very long because we realized we were going to have to walk clear across town to get my spare keys!

But that walk back was one of our favorite moments together as we walked through Athens covered in mud laughing at how stupid our adventure was. We both knew then that we had found someone who enjoys spur of the moment adventures and is able to enjoy life, two of our favorite qualities in each other. Since that day we have barely spent a moment apart.

Over the next years we went on many more adventures that ranged from D.C. to Mexico to California. Each time going somewhere new and different but always havin each other to share in the adventure with. We adopted two handsome cats Jack and Leo and then a sweet husky named Nuka.

On June 11, 2016 after a little hike on one of our favorite hiking trails in Hocking Hills, we stopped at a little stone bridge to let our puppy Nuka get some water. After asking Amanda to hold the leash for a second, Andy reached into his pocket, got down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him. Amanda was so happy that she just bent down and hugged and kissed Andy. Andy then had to ask "Is that a yes?" which of course she answered YES!

We have been so lucky to have found each other and we cannot wait to start on this new adventure in our lives as we become husband and wife.
