There are two tales of how Amanda and Mike met, one being Amanda’s recollection, and the other being the truth. Amanda remembers meeting Mike while on break at the jail and being introduced by their mutual friend Tommy. Mike was quick to correct the introduction by stating that they had already met a year prior to which Amanda denied.

The real first time they met was during Mike’s first week working at the jail when he saw the most beautiful nurse distributing medication. After a year of working together every day and some one -way flirting, the impression he had hoped to have made was not quite there. Nonetheless, Mike took their second introduction as a second chance.

After a year of being locked in together during COVID, then a life changing career move to Maryland, putting a ring on her finger, buying a boat, buying a house, and then sinking the boat, Amanda, Mike, Matthew, and Astro are happy to call Rising Sun, Maryland their home and look forward to their lives and marriage together.
