<p class="ql-align-center">On August 17, 2020, our worlds collided in a way neither of us could have expected. It was Matthew’s first day at Grant Thornton where Amanda was already working at the time and was chosen to be his mentor. With the world still largely shut down due to the pandemic, Matthew was starting his career remotely. Amanda was eagerly awaiting his Skype status to show online. As soon as both of us joined the video call, it was love at first sight. Our connection was instantaneous, leading us to call our friends that very day to share the news of our newly found crush. Over the following months, our conversations shifted from work to discovering more about each other, revealing countless similarities and sparking a deeper connection. As our connection grew, Amanda shared with Matthew that she was already in a relationship. With time, Amanda realized what she had was not what her heart wanted and she needed change. Despite Amanda leaving Grant Thornton, the friendship continued to grow eventually leading Matthew to ask her out to dinner. Our first date was July 15, 2021, which ended with Amanda asking Matthew to be her plus one at her brother’s wedding. And the rest is history!</p>

It’s funny because if you knew me and Amanda’s friendship, you’d never think there was a point in time where she didn’t want to be my friend.. I’ll get more into that part at a later date buuuut, look at us now. Not only best friends, but sisters.. Amanda’s friendship is a blessing, and I’m so thankful to have her in my life through all of the good and bad!

Morgan

I met the groom on September 4th, 1998. Matt and I were best friends ever since day one. Having a younger brother like Matt growing up was a real blessing, except he cried a lot over the smallest things. As we got older, I really saw Matt transform into this awesome man that I began to look up too, even though I’m his older brother. Matt has so many qualities that I began to look up to him in certain situations and for motivation. Seeing the things Matt has accomplished, even when met with adversity motivated me to do better. When Matt met Amanda, it really changed him and his life, and I saw it right away. Amanda has been such a blessing in Matt’s life and I’m so glad to be able to call her my sister-in-law very soon. She brings out the best in Matt every day!

Steven

Amanda and I are not your typical childhood friends; however, we are those girls who met in their 20s, clicked and the rest is history. Through career changes and many other life events, we grew as friends and a constant in each other’s lives. I cannot wait to continue to watch the life they build together.

I met the bride on July 12th 1995. She was immediately a pain in my ass. I met Matt quite some time later, and he was as equally as big of a pain so I knew they were perfect for each other. From my understanding, I’m in the wedding because Amanda and Matt are in agreement I am the greatest there’s ever been. I wake up in the morning and piss excellence. Also, Amanda is my sister. Cheers!

Amanda is kind, selfless, and has been someone I can count on since I met her. I can’t wait to officially call her my sister-in-law!

Matt and I met our senior year of high school on our senior trip to Virginia. We had a couple classes together and hung out outside of school pretty frequently. We stayed connected throughout college and were on our worst behavior when I visited Saint Joe’s. 10 years later and he’s stuck around, pretty neat if you ask me.

Amanda and I became friends because I was dating her older brother! I will never forget the first time we met. I was sitting at a hockey game by myself watching him, and all I hear is “Jordan?”. She came to the game to surprise him, and also ended up meeting me! We sat together the whole game, and I remember thinking “wow, this girl is so welcoming and sweet!” I’ve come to realize over the years that that’s who Amanda is to her core. She will go out of her way for anyone she loves. I am so lucky to have her as my sister-in-law and the aunt to our baby boy. She has such a big heart, and I am so glad that she found the love she deserves with Matt. I can’t wait to see where their marriage takes them! I love you both!!

Jordan

Matt and I have been friends for over 20 years!!! We met during kindergarten at Holy Trinity. One of my favorite memory with the groom is when we took a trip to visit the motherland ITALIA in 2018. Matt and I have a tradition of man dates to Applebees that he cherishes fondly. Our idea of a good time is coming over to my house and sitting on the couch and watching tv. Mr. G would say what did you do and Matt would answer nothing. We would rather do nothing together than alone. If you want to find me at the wedding, check the bar or the dance floor!

Josh

When Amanda met Jordan, she knew she would be gaining a sister. But little did she know, when she met Jordan’s sister, she would gain another sister as well! Amanda and I bonded immediately and have spent the last few years seeing so much of ourselves in each other. From our love of the gym, to our love of brunch dates, we are one & the same!

Katelyn

Where to even begin with Matt on our relationship is almost impossible. He was my roommate all 4 years of college and one of my best friends for 8 years now which I can’t believe. We’ve shared a lot of great memories along the way. He’s one of the best people I’ve ever met, an amazing friend, and I’m so blessed to be able to be there to celebrate him on the most special day of his life.

Amanda and I met coaching a few years back and we clicked instantly. She was the best friend I didn’t know I needed at the time and am so grateful for now.

Although I didn’t know Matt my first 2 years of college, the last 2 living together and after graduation, there is one word I would use to describe him, genuine. It takes a lot for a person to be there for all his friends but I truly appreciate how our friendship has grown and how close we became. Matt is always there to share the joys of life but also the hard times as well. Love is a very special word reserved for those who show up and seeing the love Amanda and Matt have developed over this time is truly amazing. I cherish the time I spend with them and I look forward to the many memories to follow.

I met Amanda first day of college back in 2013 and it took a little while to convince her us non-lacrosse girls were just as cool (if not better). I’ve been lucky enough to call Amanda a best friend of mine for over a decade now and watch her change and grow into an absolutely amazing woman. Amanda truly has a heart of gold I’ve been lucky enough to see. Amanda has always been one of the kindest people I’ve ever met as well as the funniest. Her laugh so the most contagious! I am so blessed to stand by her side as she continues the next part of her journey and the beginning of her and Matt’s forever.

My friendship with Matt started on a random summer day after soccer tryouts when he asked me for a ride home. After a few short minutes and plenty of jokes I knew I had a friend for life. Looking back on our almost decade long friendship it still blows my mind how such a strong bond came from something so simple. From day one we became brothers and everyday since he’s been one of the most important people in my life. It’s a blessing to be able to call him my best friend and a part of my family.

Amanda and I met during our freshman year at Wagner College, instantly bonding over style, workouts, and our favorite TV shows, while always being there to support each other. By junior year, we finally became roommates, and our friendship deepened through endless laughs and adventures, like when my first “roommate duty” was ordering a rug that ended up hilariously too small to playing ridiculous games in our dorm. Our time together has been filled with unforgettable moments that have shaped a friendship for life. I’m excited to continue this journey with Amanda — and to officially welcome Matt to our LC3 Wagner group as we create new memories together.

Matt and I met during our time at St. Joseph’s. Truthfully I do not remember how we officially met, but I’m sure it was through Matt’s outgoing nature and ability to connect to anyone in the room, a trait I both think Matt excels in having and one that I aspire to have. I’ve never met someone more comfortable to be able to talk to anyone and everyone in any setting. We have connected through many similar interests in our time at SJU and since, but even if we did not have a single connecting us, I’d be positive Matt could find a common ground as he is one of, if not the, most personable and genuinely interested person to talk to in my life. Before going to Saint Joseph’s, I was worried to meet someone who was a loyal friend who I can genuinely say makes me a better person through their example. I am glad to have met Matt and to say he has not only been that, but above an beyond that in each and every way. Congratulations Matt and Amanda, two people who are a resounding example of great people who deserve each other.

Brandon

Amanda and Imet freshman year of college. We were lucky enough to be placed in the same learning community and have 3 classes together that semester. Through our years at college, we became closer and closer! I was happy to have another friend in the business field, but more importantly a friend that would allow me to crash in their room, bust her chops and hang out with her family. From concerts in NJ to hanging out with each other's family I am honored to have been asked to be by Amanda’s side on the most magical day of her and Matt’s life.

Matt and I first met freshman year at Saint Joes moving into our dorm, Villiger. From the moment we first discussed who we were, where we were from, what we were studying, I could tell that I had found a friend, a great guy, and a role model in Matt. From our late nights in O’Pake and LA Fitness to get in a workout followed up by our post workout eggs at midnight (shoutout Justin!) to hitchhiking our way back to our dorms from campus in a snowstorm! As the years went by, Matt and I’s relationship evolved from not just friends, but a brotherhood. I am incredibly grateful for Matt and our steadfast friendship, guidance, and support we’ve had for one another ever since we met Freshman year. I am ecstatic for him and Amanda and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
