Our story of meeting each other is a matter of happenstance and alignment. The universe had plans for us that neither of us would have ever known, but are we are sure glad it did.

We both grew up in smaller towns in our respective areas of New York and Wisconsin. We grew and took what we could out of our limited environments. We can both say the family atmosphere we had and the memories we took away has helped shape who we both are. Something seemed to be missing however. A sense of something more. A need to get out of our comfort zone and move on to something bigger.

And in comes the mysterious ways of our world.

We happen to both find ourselves finding solace and refuge in the colorful state of Colorado. We moved out here with others and to find something new. No idea as to what that new could potentially be, but that it was indeed out there.

Fast forward several years.

We find ourselves single at the same time as one another. Neither of us were looking for love. We both have been there and done that. We were over the less than imaculate dating scene in the area and the disappointments that came with it.

Alas, we both decided to try online dating. I mean, it couldn't hurt right? We happen to come across one another and started some hi and how are your day messages back and forth. The hello messages turned into music suggestions. The music suggestions turned into text messages. A couple of months later, should I meet this person crossed both our minds.

With our love and connection over music, we decided on our 1st time to meet one another. We chose a local concert here in Colorado Springs to eleviate some pressure. From messing up arrival times, to a broken phone, to being almost to shy to walk up and say hello, the universe again seemed to throw some tests in. We ended up laughing and dancing the night away of course!

The second date or meeting of each other came as another time to show that we wanted this for ourselves and to share another common interest, nature. Lance has never drove up into the mountains at this point of his life in Colorado and did not have a reliable car to do so. That would not stop him from getting the courage to drive up to high elevations to meet his future queen. There she was standing on top of her Jeep in the brisk air. I can truthfully say the moment we locked eyes, we know it was love. And a few weeks later, we made it official!

Fast forward to the recent present. We have been the rock and motivation for one another going on 5 years. We have made it through ups and downs, different homes and jobs, a pandemic, a recession, the list goes on. Not alot is certain in this world, but it is quite magical to have that constant, each other.

Our engagement went full circle to how we met. The question was asked during the countdown to new years at the biggest dance music event in Colorado. With the balloons, confetti, loud music, and chaos that is this event, it took us both a moment to realize what was happening at the time. With eyes full of tears we took ourselves out of the crowd to the side. The question. "you said yes, right?' was asked and we both chuckled, took a bit of a walk around, and went to dance the rest of the night away.

We hope our union can show how rewarding the universe can be and that love can be found where you would never expect. Love and music are the two languages known the world over and we are happy to share our song with everyone willing to hear it.
