Did you know that cows have best friends? This is the fun fact that caught Matt’s attention on Amanda’s Hinge profile back in December 2019. After reaching out, this began the conversation that has never stopped between us.

On January 4th, 2020, we met for dinner at Tempo on Moody St. in Waltham. We immediately hit it off and went for a night cap across the street to continue the conversation - all while Tom Brady was playing his last football game as a Patriot, which Matt gave up watching to spend more time with Amanda (and those that know Matt know this is a big deal lol!).

In March of 2020, Matt asked Amanda to join him on a trip to Sri Lanka and it was an easy yes from her – who doesn’t love an adventure? We hopped on a plane and traveled halfway across the world only to realize Covid-19 was quickly making its debut and by the time we got home the world had fully locked down.

During the pandemic, we continued to grow close, and our bond strengthened even more. In August of 2020, we started a family with the addition of our fur baby, Snacks. Matt had always wanted a golden retriever, but after meeting Snacks he is officially a corgi lover! In September of 2021, Matt moved in with Amanda and Snacks in Southie and never looked back.

In March of 2023, Matt and Amanda took Snacks for a walk at Dorchester Heights and Matt got down on one knee to propose. Amanda said yes and a few moments later her best friends came out from behind the statue to celebrate. For the first time in her life, she was speechless! Matt had coordinated with friends and family to celebrate at Amanda’s favorite place (Publico) and the rest is history!
