"An Aussie walked into a bar..." HA... no but seriously.. Amanda was living in New York and went with a friend to drop off a set of keys to a stranger at a local bar. Peter arrived to New York after several hours of difficult flights and accommodations cancellations. He was easily spotted, after introductions, she said to him “here are the keys, here is a beer, and here is your New Years Eve date.”

That next evening, after discovering a mutual love of New York Christmas movies, Peter asked me to be his tour guide and show him the city. After an evening full of Christmas lights, Christmas trees and some flirting, he kissed me.

That’s when I knew; it was something special.

We spent the next three weeks absorbing all the time we could together and being present with one another. Peter needed to continue on his travels and go to Miami for a conference. Amanda saw the opportunity and said "Oh, I have clients there, I'll take a work trip!"

We spent the long Valentine's Day weekend in the Florida Keys, where Peter accidentally said "I love you" hehe.

Fast forward to January 2017, Amanda quit her job in New York and flew across the world to Australia to spend the next three months with Peter. This trip, we learned we didn't want to be apart any longer and I would move to Australia to start our lives together.

Within our first year of dating, we had travelled to five countries and three states together. We love to explore this beautiful world together.

We got engaged on Christmas Day 2018 and decided lets move back to The States and start a new chapter as an engaged couple.
