Are kids invited?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you can use this as a night off to relax, enjoy, and celebrate with us!
Can I bring a date?
We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! If you’ve been given a plus one, their name will be listed on your invitation. If not, we kindly ask that you attend solo.
Where is the ceremony taking place?
The ceremony will be held indoors at Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle, Illinois at 3 PM.
is there a reception after the ceremony?
Yes! The reception starts at 6 at Pronto's, a restaurant owned by a close friend of ours. There will be both indoor and outdoor seating, and dancing will likely take place outdoors—so get ready to show off your moves! Bonus: there are slots at the restaurant, so bring your cash… half of all winnings go straight to the bride and groom! 🎰😉
What is the dress code?
The dress code is cocktail attire. Think polished but fun!
Here are some examples to guide you:
For women: midi or knee-length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, heels or stylish flats.
For men: suits or dress pants with a blazer, collared shirt, and dress shoes (ties optional but welcome!).
We want you to feel dressed up, comfortable, and ready to dance!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes—of course there will be an open bar! We want you to celebrate, enjoy, and raise a glass (or two!) with us. That said, please drink responsibly. If you plan to indulge, do not drive. We will be seriously upset if anyone makes unsafe choices. Ride shares like Uber and Lyft are readily available—please use them!
What should I do in between the ceremony and reception?
There will be a short break between the ceremony and reception while we take photos. During this time, guests are welcome to head back to their hotel to relax or freshen up. If you’re looking to grab a drink or light snack, 1913 Restaurant & Wine Bar opens at 4:00 PM and is a great nearby option. The bar at Venuti’s is also large and welcoming if you’d like to hang out there before the reception. Guests who live locally are, of course, welcome to head home and freshen up as well. We can’t wait to celebrate with you soon!
