Chris: "I fell in love with the girl next door..."

But in all seriousness, Chris and Amanda met not long after Chris and his kids moved in next door to Amanda's parents in 2016. She lived there on and off throughout the next few years in between houses, and though they were both attracted to one another, they never thought the other was interested. After years of chatting here and there, Amanda babysitting the kids a time or two, and a couple of times hanging out at the fire pit, Chris and the kids started going to trivia at Celebrations with Amanda and her parents. Chris's kids not so subtly asked (yelled) numerous times "Dad do you like her?!" or "JUST friends, huh?"...completely embarrassing both of them. The two became closer friends throughout months of spending every other Thursday together, which then turned into EVERY Thursday when Chris started coming to trivia on the weeks he didn't have the kids, to having a few more drinks at Coles just the two of them after trivia on those weeks, to Amanda finally agreeing to a "first real date" in April after 6 months of Chris patiently pursuing her. Really, though, they would both agree that they went on lots of dates before that. They even crashed Robert and Sherry's Valentine's Day date to Coles in February. After that, the rest was history! Chris took Amanda to his childhood home in Greene County, and she took him on adventures all over the city. They spent a lot of time together just the two of them, and lots of times doing fun things with the kids. They balanced each other perfectly and knew the other was "the one" right from the start. Chris, Paisley, and Garrett made Amanda feel like a part of their family right from the beginning, and everything just felt right! Fast forward through lots of fun times, a few vacations, some late nights helping with homework, and a love that grew deeper each and every day, Chris finally decided to make it official, and asked Amanda to marry him back at his childhood home at Picnic Rock, where he took her on a hike during one of their first dates! Chris and Amanda can't wait to make things official, and they hope you will be there to celebrate their love on October 5th!
