In the summer of 2012, just before our freshman year of high school, our siblings said hello to each other as we were leaving church one Sunday afternoon. After our casual introduction, Chris's dad said to him, "You should date her, she's cute and Catholic." Little did we know that he was playing a true matchmaker and this would become the foundation of an extraordinary love story. It wasn't until sophomore year 2013, when we had U.S. history class together, that we would get to know one another more. Chris's determination to know me better led him to ask a mutual friend for my number. He found clever excuses to talk to me, but it was evident that he simply wanted to keep the connection alive. The real magic, however, unfolded in our junior year of high school in the enchanting year of 2014. Friendship blossomed between us, and it felt like we had known each other for a lifetime. We laughed together, shared inside jokes, and cherished every moment. Chris's endearing gestures, like bringing me Olive Garden breadsticks to class, made my heart flutter, but I remained oblivious to the possibility of romance. It wasn't until that fateful summer that the universe decided to give us another chance. Armed with a box of Dunkin Donuts and nerves that tingled with excitement, Chris mustered all his courage and knocked on my door. He laid his heart bare and asked me to be his girlfriend. As much as I wanted to say yes, circumstances held us back, leaving us with a lingering sense of hope and wonder. My mom told me I made a mistake and that I should date him because, in my mom's words, "I like him, he has kind eyes." Months turned into years, and our lives took different paths causing us to drift apart. But fate had more surprises in store for us. In college, Chris reached out, reigniting the flame that had never truly burned out. As we sat across each other at Starbucks, seven blissful hours flew by like mere minutes. We rekindled our friendship and became close again after discovering that our connection had grown stronger. With each passing day, it became clear that our hearts were yearning for something more profound. Chris, knowing that the time had come to seize the moment, mustered his courage once again and asked me on a real date. The stars aligned yet again, and just two days later, we found ourselves standing in the very same church parking lot where our journey began, surrounded by the serenity of the place that brought us together. At that moment, I saw the love and sincerity in Chris's eyes as he asked the question that would change our lives forever: "Will you be my girlfriend?" Overwhelmed with emotions, I couldn't contain my joy and exclaimed, "YES!" It felt like the universe itself celebrated our love. As we embraced the journey ahead our love continued to grow, deepening with each passing moment. Four years later, Chris once again took my breath away when he knelt down on one knee and asked me the most enchanting question: "Will you be my wife?" My heart swelled with love and happiness as I enthusiastically responded "YES!" And so, our love story became etched in the fabric of time, woven with the threads of fate and bound by the unbreakable ties of true love. As we embarked on this journey together, hand in hand, we knew that destiny had played its part, guiding us to a love that transcends time and space. From that unforgettable moment in 2012 to the present day, our hearts have found their home, united by the magic of destiny's sweet embrace.
