World-renowned Glacier National Park is approximately 30 minutes from Whitefish and offers stunning views and fantastic trailheads for all ages!

In mid-June, the alpine section of Going-to-the-Sun Road will not be open yet, but the road will be open at least to Lake McDonald Lodge, possibly up to Avalanche Lake (an awesome, easy hike). Many Glacier will most likely be open as well, which is home to some of the best trails in the park. If you’re planning a trip to the park while you are in town, make sure to visit their website in advance to secure entry reservations.
