We met on Amanda’s very first day of college in August 2019. That day happened to be the first day of band camp. Kellen happened to sit right next to Amanda and greeted her with a smile. We got along right from the start and enjoyed hanging out with the section during band camp, sectionals during rehearsals, and football games. Our spring semester was cut short by COVID.

The following year (Amanda's sophomore year and Kellen's junior year), band looked a little different. Every member in the band were spaced 5 yards apart and we were encouraged to not hang out with our section. Amanda and Kellen still would talk and joke around, even if we were socially distanced.

In the fall of 2021 (Kellen's senior year and Amanda's junior year), COVID precautions were lifted and we were allowed to socially engage with our friends on campus. Our section started to grow and bond with each other, especially during band camp. During this time, Kellen and Amanda grew closer until September 15th, when Kellen decided to take a shot and ask Amanda out. She obviously said yes!

Over the next 3 and half years, Kellen and Amanda have taken many trips, created memories, adopted two sweet kitties and two cute leopard geckos!

We are very excited to continue our story!
