Amanda and Jared met in the summer of 2019 at BGSU for a 3 week summer program. Though they were together all day everyday for those 3 weeks, they did not really get to know each other and begin talking until the last few days. At the end of the July, they went their separate ways and did not see or speak to each other until they moved in for good at the end of August.

Once moved back in, they would hang out in group settings almost every night, and they started going to church together every Sunday (where they would even hold hands during the Our Father).

One day, Amanda suggested that everyone that had a pass to Cedar Point go one Sunday (that would be only Amanda, Jared, and Kayla). They all agreed and made a plan to go on a Sunday in September. Conveniently, Kayla had other plans come up that she could not miss, so Amanda asked Jared if he would still be willing to go, just the two of them. He said yes.

After that trip to Cedar Point, which Jared still claims was not a date, the two began talking more and hanging out more often one on one. Then, Wednesday September 25, 2019 at 11:11pm, Jared asked Amanda if she would be his girlfriend. She said yes.

Since then, our love for each other continues to grow, and we are so excited to celebrate that with you in December of 2024!
