Some make the pilgrimage to Holy Hill to worship, to meditate or to pray for healing. Some come to admire the beautiful architecture of the neo-Romanesque church built in 1926. Others come as sightseers or hikers. Families frequently come to participate in Sunday liturgy and remain to picnic on the wooded grounds. Many ethnic groups continue a tradition of yearly pilgrimages that can be traced to Holy Hill's earliest beginnings. Regardless of what brings people to Holy Hill, they are bound to be touched by its peaceful environment and to be renewed in body, mind and spirit.
We encourage you to visit Holy Hill's 435 beautiful acres and experience peace, beauty, and prayer.

In 1940s Wyoming Valley, an interesting sandstone rock chimney spanning 60 feet into the air caught the eye of Alex Jordan. This rock formation, known as Deer Shelter Rock, would become the site of Jordan’s weekend retreat home.
He had never intended for it to turn into an icon of Wisconsin and one of its best examples of stunning architecture, but his creation was such a masterpiece that people began to ask about it and even stop by to visit.
Eventually, Jordan began to request donations of 50 cents in exchange for giving out tours to visitors of the 14-room home. This soon grew into the House on the Rock becoming one of the key Wisconsin attractions, and the many rooms housed all sorts of collections by the eccentric Jordan himself.
Now, the house has expanded, covering a whole complex of multiple structures, collections, and intricacies which means it may take you all of this weekend to explore!

Home to 81 species and more than 800 animals, Shalom offers an unique twist from a typical zoo experience. Many animal residents have large natural habitats, which gives you an atmosphere of more like a park. Dubbed "America's largest petting zoo", you'll have the chance to pet and feed many different species. There are four miles of gravel roads that run through the zoo which allows for walking, drive-thru in your own car and golf cart rentals at different times of the year. This is a personal favorite for Amanda & Mina!
The Wisconsin State Capitol sits in Madison, WI. The building, which is a National Historic Landmark, was finished in 1917, and it’s actually the state’s third capitol building after the first was rebuilt for expansion and the second one burned down!
The Wisconsin State Capitol building is Madison’s tallest building by law and is home to the Office of the Governor, the state Supreme Court, and the legislature. Majestic in appearance, it boasts an elegant design and a lovely dome-shaped roof.
One of the things to see in the State Capitol building is its rather curious collection of fossils set in the stone of its structure, totaling about 40 different kinds.
There are also lots of beautiful works of art, handmade furniture, murals, and more.
While you're here, be sure to check out the UW-Madison campus-- shop around on State Street and enjoy the view of Lake Mendota at the Memorial Union Terrace!
Cave of the Mounds, a natural limestone cave located in Blue Mounds, WI, is named for two nearby hills called the Blue Mounds. This national natural landmark originally began as a dairy farm (the first farm in Wisconsin to keep track of scientific dairy records). In 1903, part of the farm was turned into a limestone quarry. Later on, as part of a routine quarry blast, the cave opening was discovered. The cave's beauty comes from its many varieties of mineral formations called speleothems. The Chicago Academy of Sciences considers the Cave of the Mounds to be "the significant cave of the upper Midwest" because of its beauty.
