Colin and Amanda met during the summer of 2020 at the beach in North Carolina. Colin was coaching Amanda's younger brother's baseball team and each family went and stayed in a beach house together during this time. While on the trip, Colin asked Amanda to go get a drink.

Amanda and Colin got their first place together at Hercules in downtown Canton and lived here for about a year and a half till they moved into their first house together in April of 2024.

Amanda and Colin went on a family vacation with Amanda's family to West Palm Beach. The morning of the engagement, Colin drove to the exact spot of the Clock Tower, where he was later going to propose, with Amanda in the car to check out the location but explained that it was somewhere he just wanted to see. Later that evening, Colin and Amanda were going to dinner, while her family also went to dinner. As they pulled up to the Clock Tower, that looked directly out to the beach, Amanda's whole family was also there. At this time, Colin got down on one knee in the Clock Tower and asked Amanda to marry him on August 8th, 2024!
