Devry and Amanda started dating in the late summer of 2021. Amanda was living in Rochester, and Devry was living in the Twin Cities. They matched on Hinge, Devry was intrigued by all the cool pictures of Amanda hiking on her profile, and Amanda thought Devry's profile made him appear outgoing and adventurous. After some chatting on the app, Devry asked Amanda for a date! Devry drove down Highway 52 to meet Amanda at a brewery in Rochester. The date was so fun, they decided to go to another brewery and have dinner together that night. After a few dates, they decided they really liked each other, and Devry asked Amanda to be his official girlfriend.

With both of them having wacky work schedules, they found time to spend random groups of days together either in Rochester or the cities, they got to know each other's friends and families. After 3 months of dating, Amanda and her best friend, Hannah, let Devry crash a girl's trip to visit wineries in Napa, California, which they look back and laugh about now.

One of Devry and Amanda's favorite things to do together is traveling and exploring cool places, whether it be the bluff country of Minnesota and Wisconsin, or as far as Europe. Since they started dating, they have visited many parts of the West Coast, and have taken trips to Italy and Jamaica. They also love taking road trips closer to home. Hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, and trying food are their favorite activities on trips.

After dating long distance for nearly 2 years, Amanda moved up to Maple Grove to live with Devry, which if you know Amanda, you know she must really like someone to move to the cities. They have loved life living together, and adopted a sweet poodle named George. The 3 of them love doing so many things together, and George is really happy to see his parents get married!

Devry proposed to Amanda as a complete surprise, when he reserved a picnic at her favorite winery, Elmaro, in October of 2023. She happily said yes, and they are so excited for the next chapter together!
