No, both the Bahamas Health Visa and pre-arrival COVID-19 testing requirement have been eliminated. All visitors, regardless of their vaccination status, are welcome to travel freely to and throughout The Islands of The Bahamas.
Recommendation on booking travel/flights?
Currently round trip flights from LEX/CVG to NAS are about $400 - $600 round trip. You can be in the Bahamas in about 5 hours with only one quick layover by flying out of Lexington/Cincinnati! We book our own airfare instead of going through the resort in case of changes or cancellations, but it's up to you! There are direct flights out of Charlotte, Atlanta, and Miami. We are likely flying out of Lexington (LEX) or Cincinnati (CVG) through American Airlines and will have a short layover in Charlotte before landing in the Bahamas! We recommend downloading the app "Hopper". It will notify you when the cheapest fare will be to book your flight. We also have TSA pre-check which helped us skip the long TSA lines. https://tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov
Travel tip:
Customs and Border Protection Pre-Clearance is located in Nassau's airport. This means upon U.S. arrival, you will bypass Customs & Border Patrol (CBP) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspections and you will proceed directly to your connecting flight.
Do you have a travel agent to assist with booking?
Yes if that is what you like! Susan Kennon is our travel agent and it is no extra cost to you. Just let her know we sent you. Her e-mail is susan@adventuretherapytravel.com and her phone is 606-407-3172. Of course you can always book yourself by phone or online!
Can I book a room with only one person?
The resort is catered towards "Couples" or 2 people per room. We recommend finding someone to bring with you and split the cost! You do not have to be a couple to stay, it can be anyone (Friend, family member, etc)! They make some special accomodations for those who are coming by themselves BUT you will still be paying the total price regardless so it is better to come with a plus one. Reach out to Amanda if you plan on coming by yourself.
Advice on getting cheapest Airfaire?
Download the "Hopper" app! No need to book flights through the app, but you can use it as a Watchlist for the cheapest time to buy flights.
Also recommend signing up for a Travel Card (We have Chase Sapphire) and with the points we gained by opening the card - our flights were free!
