Our Wedding

Amandalyn and Joseph’s paths could have crossed early on growing up in the same city, attending the same middle school and high school. However, it wasn’t until their first years of college in 2013 where their relationship blossomed when they met through mutual friends who just thought they were “compatible”. Now a decade later, they finally tying the knot.

Amandalyn & Joseph’s Timeline

2012

Amandalyn and Joseph first officially met in Summer 2012. Mutual friends between the two were insistent that they would be “really cute together”.

2013

August 3rd, 2013 Joseph officially asked Amandalyn to be his girlfriend at Universal Studios in Universal City, CA.

2016

January 2016 Amandalyn and Joseph move out to of their childhood homes for the first time to attend school in Las Vegas, NV.

2019

Amandalyn and Joseph adopt fur baby, Waffles, to start their small family.

2021

September 2021 Amandalyn and Joseph move back to their hometown South San Francisco, CA to be closer to friends and family.

2022

April 19, 2022 Joseph asked Amandalyn to be his fiancé in the cool meadows of Yosemite National Park. She said, “Yes!”

2024

April 20, 2024 Amandalyn and Joseph are getting married in Pleasanton, CA celebrating with the people they love!

Athena & Don Rapues

Parents of the Bride

Athena and Don Rapues have been married since December 1991. They have four children: Annabelle, Amandalyn, Darren, and Dario Rapues. Athena is a LVN and Don works as an airplane mechanic at United Airlines. They currently reside in South San Francisco, CA.

Annabelle Rapues

Maid of Honor

Annabelle Rapues is older sister of Amandalyn and her other two brothers. Growing up, Annabelle and Amandalyn would sing and reenact Disney songs and dances. Annabelle resides in beautiful Hawaii with her Great Dane dog, Marley. Annabelle works part-time as an Assistant Manager at the Coffee Bean in Makakilo, HI and also her owns and operates her food truck, Dog On It.

Aida & Oscar Chan Kuo

Parents of the Groom

Oscar and Aida Chan Kuo have been married for 32 years. They are both retired RN's and now enjoy their free time traveling, gardening, and going to farmers markets. They have two sons, eldest being Joseph Chan Kuo - the groom, and Andrew Chan Kuo. Oscar and Aida currently live in South San Francisco.

Best Man

Andrew Chan Kuo is the younger brother and Best Man of groom, Joseph Chan Kuo. Andrew currently serves on the U.S. Army for 5 years and is stationed in Seattle, WA. On his free time, he enjoys fishing in various Washington lakes.
