Amber and Grayson met in 2020 (trigger warning, pandemic times) while working in the Garden Center at Lowe’s in Christiansburg. One day while Amber was loading bags of gravel, Grayson stood back and watched until he decided to ask if she needed help…of course Amber was about done loading and she not-so-kindly (and with an eye roll) said NO! Grayson thought to himself, that would be the last time he spoke to Amber.

However, Amber had a different idea… a few days later at work Amber was asked to complete an organizing task that would take two people. She decided the second person for the job would be… Grayson! That day while completing the task, Amber decided it would be the perfect time to get to know Grayson…aka ask him a million and one questions for eight hours straight! What a lucky guy. That summer Amber and Grayson continued to work together, made their relationship official, and Amber has continued to talk Grayson’s ear off ever since!

On October 7, 2023, Grayson put into action the proposal plan he had been working on for months. What Amber thought was a simple Cridlin family photoshoot in Nana’s field, turned out to be the most special surprise proposal. Grayson’s proposal plan also included getting Amber’s family there to celebrate because he knew how important that was for her!

On Saturday, September 14, 2024, Amber and Grayson will be saying “I do” in front of their family and closest friends at The Eighty Four in Floyd, Virginia. Their ceremony will be followed by dinner and dancing the evening away!
